“Talking to brothers and sisters about loss can be difficult,” Emilee captioned a photo of her sitting on a fence outside, holding Gabriel on her hip while Aaliyah hugged her.
“Gabriel is too young to understand what happened, but I have noticed that he has become extra affectionate, has given me extra kisses, maybe he can just feel something,” she said.
However, Aaliyah had many questions about what had happened to the brother she had never been able to meet.
Heartbreaking: “Gabriel is too young to understand what happened, but I’ve noticed he’s become extra affectionate, gave me extra kisses, maybe he can just feel something,” she said of her one-year-old son
Devastating: “Aaliyah, on the other hand, asked many questions, her father and I explained that her little brother will watch over her with God,” she said of her three-year-old daughter.

Emilee explained that her husband came up with an idea to help the children understand that Jamal would go to heaven after the funeral.
“Even when I was too weak to think of anything, my wonderful husband organized balloons for the funeral, to explain to Aaliyah that as soon as she released them, baby Jamal would go to heaven with them,” she said.

Meanwhile, on Friday, Emilee posted a video to Instagram Stories to thank her followers for their support as she and her family mourned the tragic loss.
‘I found so much strength from you’: on Friday, Emilee said she was ‘grateful’ to other women who approached her on social media after losing her son
Emilee explained that other mothers who contacted her through social media had been a “blessing” and that she had found “so much strength” by hearing other stories.
“I just wanted to jump on this and thank you so much for all of the support, love, messages, DMs, comments, gifts, flowers, emails. It was so overwhelming for me and my husband, we are so thankful, ”said Emilee.
She continued, “Sometimes it is difficult to have social media and everyone look at your life and ask questions.
So sad: “It happens all the time. I had a healthy, low-risk pregnancy. I did all the tests, they all came back 100 percent perfect. This can simply happen. Baby Jamal’s heartbeat just stopped, “Emilee said
“But reading all of your DMs and being able to talk to other women and families who are going through the same thing or just experienced it was so great, it was such a blessing. I have found so much strength from you. ‘
Emilee went on to explain that she didn’t know how “common” stillbirth and miscarriage was, even during “healthy” pregnancies.
“It’s just something people don’t talk about, I guess, and I understand it’s really hard. But I have a feeling that like other women how many other people are going through this, you’re not alone, ”she said, torn.
