The New York Red Bulls won their first home game this season and second in a row by beating FC Dallas 2-1.
In a rain-soaked game, it was newcomer Emil Forsberg who was the star of the show, as he scored a goal and an assist to lead his new team to success.
Scottish winger Lewis Morgan won a penalty early in the match, which Forsberg converted to score his first goal for his new club.
In the second half, Forsberg returned the favor and slipped a pass to Morgan for a 2-0 lead.
Dallas forward Jesus Ferreira made things interesting, scoring shortly after the Red Bulls doubled their lead with a free kick that went under the RBNY wall.
But coach Sandro Schwarz’s men held on for victory, sending those who made the trip to Harrison, New Jersey happy.
