A plumber has been mocked by Australians for a massive fail that left many scratching their heads and wondering how it happened in the first place.
The company had been contracted to carry out work on a property in Clayton, in southeast Victoria.
One video showed the length of a PVC pipe running the length of the building and skirting around a door, trapping it against the wall.
The images were shared on Instagram, where social media users said it looked like the plumber couldn’t care less about the job.
“The new lock looks good,” one wrote sarcastically.
“Seriously, how does that person think they’re doing the right thing?” another asked.
‘The ‘I don’t give a damn’ award goes to…,’ said another.
“Not my job huh,” added a fourth.
The Australian job site became the mockery of online traders after closing an open door with a PVC pipe.
Some defended the construction, pointing out that the pipes, at least, appeared functional.
“Shit is going downhill and payday is Thursday, that’s all that matters,” one man wrote.
‘What’s the problem…? “The water runs downhill,” another agreed.
“Come on, it was a Friday afternoon,” another said jokingly.
A trader dropped a classic: “It looks good from my house.”
Another man said the tradies should have used common sense and consulted superiors before blocking the door.
“Engineers of all trades and designers need to communicate with each other throughout construction,” he said.
‘I’ve seen this kind of shit too many times and I blame them and the occasional job foreman who didn’t care.
‘Traders don’t want to install things they know are completely wrong, but their concerns fall on deaf ears and they lose all sense of attention.
Honestly, it can be very frustrating as a business. Just my opinion, you get paid to do what you’re told despite the incompetence or ignorance of others.
“Come home at the end of the day and leave work behind, enjoy the rest with your family.”
Although many wondered if the pipe was not just a temporary element of the building.
“Surely this is temporary plumbing,” one wrote.
“Either that or a temporary plumber,” another responded.
