Chris Hemsworth and his wife Elsa Pataky made a major style statement when they stepped out on New Year’s Eve ahead of the 2024 Met Gala.

Chris, 40, will co-host the annual fashion show on Monday, May 6, alongside Jennifer Lopez, Zendaya, Bad Bunny and Anna Wintour.

The couple took a fashion risk as they attended Anna Wintour’s pre-Mat Gala gathering on Sunday, with Elsa showing plenty of leg in shorts despite the rainy weather.

Chris sported a navy blue leopard-print suit with buttons undone to reveal his sculpted chest paired with retro orange-tinted sunglasses, while Elsa wore a blue sequined jacket and matching shorts.

To add even more sparkle to her look, the blonde wore a pair of black pumps with a gold heel and matching gold hoop earrings.

Like Chris, she unbuttoned her purple silk blouse to reveal cleavage and a black bra.

Elsa, who shares daughter India, 11, and twins Sasha and Tristan, nine, with Chris, completed her look with her hair in a high ponytail.

The 2024 Met Gala is themed Sleeping Beauties and will once again see Hollywood and fashion’s elite descend on the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Chris will play a key role in Monday’s Met Gala as co-chair, alongside Challengers actress Zendaya, singer Jennifer and rapper Bad Bunny.

“This year’s co-chairs reflect a variety of professional accomplishments and all have distinct style stories with the Met Gala,” Vogue shared.

Meanwhile, the evening’s honorary chairs are Loewe creative director Jonathan Anderson and TikTok CEO Shou Zi Chew.

The dress code for this year’s Met Gala exhibition is The Garden of Time.

The exhibit will feature approximately 250 items drawn from The Costume Institute’s permanent collection.

All pieces will be displayed using elements such as AI, GCI and more while playing land, sea and sky themes.

“It’s very much an ode to nature and the emotional poetics of fashion,” Andrew Bolton, Wendy Yu curator in charge of the Costume Institute, said of the upcoming exhibition.

“One thing I hope this exhibition activates is that sensory appreciation of fashion.”
