Elsa took to Instagram in mid-February to reveal that she gave birth when she posted a candid photo of her newborn baby lying on her beauty’s chest.

Elsa revealed that she and Danish entrepreneur Tom welcomed a daughter and lovingly named her after ‘two strong women’ in the family, who named their daughter Tuulikki Joan.

In a heartfelt statement, she wrote, “The happiest day of my life to meet you. The proudest moment in my life to give birth to you.

Named after two strong women, my mother and my mother-in-law, you came into this world as a superwoman with your fist to your face.

“We will love you forever, baby Tuuli.”

Recently, Elsa hosted a ‘ask me something’ Instagram session where she opened up about her struggle with anxiety that made her ‘cry’ all day amid her baby joy.

The supermodel also spoke of her ‘stronger and beautiful’ changing maternity body and joked that she is currently not doing any training to maintain her model figure.

Elsa took to her Instagram and asked her fans to ask her anything, while her 6.4 million followers inquired about a variety of topics, including her pregnancy, hair care regimen, and modeling career.

She wrote: ‘I know, so many of us are, it’s been such a difficult and strange year.

‘I struggle sometimes too … the other day I felt so sad that I cried all day. Then I was back to normal.

“I think knowing you’re not alone and taking active steps to get out of your head is one of the most effective ways to feel better.

“Some days it’s super hard, but some days you have the power to change your mood and take action by doing the opposite of what your head tells you.”

One of the questions asked was how the model went about managing her feelings of anxiety, with the follower adding that they were struggling at the moment.

Elsa responded sympathetically with a long, heartfelt reply opening up about her own struggles.

She continued: ‘Opposite action !! As if my head is telling me not to get out of bed because I feel overwhelmed, get up and get out of the house anyway! My head tells me to isolate myself – Call and meet someone and tell them how you feel!

“My head tells me I’m not good enough – prove the voice wrong!”

Elsa has also previously outlined how, although it has been a difficult year, she feels happy to have been able to enjoy her pregnancy without the added stress of work, as runway shows were halted due to lockdown restrictions.

She said: “It has been a difficult year for so many to discover something positive in this year. For me personally, being able to be pregnant without working out is like I used to.

‘Not traveling at all has given us the opportunity to spend so much quality time together as a family and gives me less stress about not missing work because of the pregnancy. So that’s been great. ‘

Meanwhile, the star opened up about the pregnancy body after a fan asked, ‘Do you have any doubts about the pregnancy, thinking your body was going to break?’

Alongside a stunning black and white photo of her growing baby bump, Elsa said, “I don’t believe pregnancy breaks the body. I believe it is getting stronger and more beautiful. It has carried life! ‘
