“This is, in fact, illegal,” the note said, with a link to US election law.
Maye was responding to her son’s post by telling her followers that the registration deadline in the key state of Georgia was Monday.
“It is very important that all your friends and family register to vote,” he wrote.
It was unclear whether Maye was actually defending voter fraud or making a sarcastic comment, but he posted a follow-up three hours later.
‘In Butler, Pennsylvania, we just heard that Republicans will make sure no illegals vote. Ignore my previous post,’ he wrote.
Maye was referring to the Trump rally where Musk made a cameo on stage with the former president and gave a speech of support.
He may have been referring to the absurd conspiracy theory that Democrats were planning to allow asylum seekers and other noncitizens to vote, which is also illegal.

Musk was also mercilessly mocked for jubilantly jumping on stage at a Donald Trump rally and declaring that he was the “Dark MAGA.”

Another mocked Musk’s estrangement from most of his children, particularly his transgender daughter Vivian Jenna Wilson.

Tesla boss Elon Musk was seen jumping on stage with his fists in the air as he joined Donald Trump to address supporters at the Butler Farm Show in Pennsylvania.
But others didn’t find Musk’s appearance amusing, fearing he would use his Twitter ownership to help Trump be a dictator.

Musk’s appearance at Trump’s rally in Butler was the first time he took the stage at a political rally.
The billionaire was inspired to publicly endorse Trump after the former president’s failed assassination attempt in Butler on July 13.
While the two men were on stage, Trump praised Musk for donating Starlink systems to victims of Hurricane Helene, joking that he didn’t understand what the space satellite internet system was.
“I didn’t know what the hell Starlink was,” Trump admitted.

Before Musk’s arrival, Trump paid tribute to Corey Comperatore, the man who was shot and killed when gunman Thomas Crooks opened fire on July 13.

Comperatore’s widow and their children also returned to the rally, sitting with members of the Trump family.
Trump also paid tribute to two other men who were injured in the attack.
