Elon Musk’s ex Grimes savaged the billionaire amid his high-profile support for Donald Trump in the US presidential election.

Grimes, 36, who dated Musk, 53, from 2018 to 2022 and shares three children with him, took to X to talk about men who want to go to space. Musk is notably the founder, CEO, CTO and president of the space technology company SpaceX.

The drama unfolded when Olivia Rodrigo revealed the “very strangely specific question” she asks guys on first dates.

She said: ‘I always ask them if they think they would like to go to space. And if they say yes, I don’t go out with them.

“I just think that if you want to go to space, you’re too full of yourself. I think it’s just weird.

This quickly caught the attention of the musician, whose real name is Claire Boucher, who wrote on Saturday on X, the platform owned by her ex: “It’s true, only women should go to space.’

Fans were quick to react with one writing: “She has the most experience among the majority,” while a second wrote: “PERIOD, NOW ENTER THE STUDIO.’

Others criticized the star writing: ‘Oh shut up you’re the one who had a baby with a guy who wanted to go to space lmaooo.’

The We Appreciate Power vocalist and the CEO of SpaceX are parents to their four-year-old son X Æ A-12 Musk; his three-year-old daughter, Exa Dark Sideræl; and his son Techno Mechanicus, whose exact age has not been publicly revealed.

Grimes and Musk broke up more than three years ago, as he said Page six in September 2021 that he and Grimes were “semi-separated.”

He said at the time that she would continue to live in a home he owns in California.

“It’s mainly that my job at SpaceX and Tesla requires me to be primarily in Texas or traveling abroad, and their job is primarily in Los Angeles,” Musk said. “She’s staying with me now and Baby X is in the next room.”

Musk has been married three times.

While Musk has never been to space, he has invested millions in research and last month made the astonishing claim that a city of one million people will thrive on Mars within 30 years.

Musk’s new claims about the future of human exploration on Mars come as SpaceX makes its biggest breakthrough to date.

On October 13, the company successfully landed its 71-meter-tall (242-foot) Super Heavy booster.

Musk has revealed why he really wants Donald Trump to win the presidential election, and it has nothing to do with border policy or tax breaks for billionaires.

While speaking at the Future Investment Initiative (FII) Summit in Saudi Arabia last month, Musk said SpaceX’s ability to colonize Mars largely depends on the Republican candidate’s return to office.

“I feel more optimistic about a White House with Trump than I do about a White House without Trump,” he said.

If Musk’s vision comes true, the first manned mission to the Red Planet would launch in 2027 and the first human boots on the Martian landscape two years later.

SpaceX CEO admitted the timeline was ambitious, but suggested that electing Kamala Harris would not result in the deregulation necessary to clear the path to his goal.

He claimed that under President Joe Biden’s administration it has become “almost illegal” to launch space missions, even though SpaceX has launched more than 300 rockets since 2020, more than any other commercial spaceflight company.

“It takes longer to get a launch permit than it does to build a giant rocket,” Musk continued.

The claims were likely due to Trump’s big push into space during his first term, signing an order that aimed to return Americans to the Moon and be the first to reach Mars.

“I will free NASA from the constraint of serving primarily as a logistics agency for low-Earth orbit activities — a big deal,” Trump said in 2016.

‘Instead, we will reorient its mission toward space exploration. “Under a Trump administration, Florida and America will lead the way to the stars.”

Trump’s presidency demonstrated that he is aligned with Musk’s goals for space exploration in several ways.

Musk is the father of a total of 12 children, including his first-born, whom he welcomed with his ex-wife Justine Wilson and tragically died in infancy due to sudden infant death syndrome.

He also welcomed twins with Neuralink executive Shivon Zilis in November 2021, just weeks before he and Grimes welcomed their second child via surrogate. He had a third child with Shivon in 2024.

In September 2023, Grimes suggested in a since-deleted tweet that there was a conflict between her and Zilis, adding that Musk was not allowing her to see her own son.

According to screenshots of the tweet, beneath a photo of Musk and the two children he shares with Zilis, Grimes wrote a message addressed to Musk’s biographer Walter Isaacson.

“Tell Shivon to unblock me and tell Elon to let me see my son or answer my lawyer,” he wrote.

“I have never been allowed to see a photo of these children until this moment, despite the situation that completely tore my family apart.”
