Elon Musk takes a front-row seat in a Super Bowl suite alongside his son X AE A-Xii – after celebrating the big day by adding a new football-themed ‘like’ animation on X

  • The 52-year-old billionaire cheered on the Philadelphia Eagles at last year’s game.
  • Musk has been asked to testify again in the SEC investigation into X, formerly called Twitter
  • DailyMail.com provides the latest international sports news.

Elon Musk has been seen sitting front row with his youngest son at the Super Bowl (LVIII) in Las Vegas, after adding a new football-themed animation to X.

The 52-year-old billionaire sat next to his three-year-old son, X AE A-Xii, who he shares with his ex-partner and singer, Grimes, while wearing black aviator glasses, a T-shirt and jeans at Allegiant. Stadium – home of the Raiders.

He also spoke to what appeared to be members of his entourage before kickoff.

Musk, who rooted for the Philadelphia Eagles in last year’s Super Bowl matchup against the Chiefs, added the newest setting on X, formerly Twitter, on Sunday to celebrate the build-up to this year’s big game.

So instead of the usual heart icon that fills in red after you like a tweet, the Super Bowl LVIII logo will appear.

Musk seemed bored at times as he arrived at Allegiant Stadium just before kickoff on Sunday.

Musk’s Super Bowl appearance comes after a federal judge ordered the Tesla CEO to testify again in the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission investigation into his $44 billion acquisition of Twitter. , giving the regulator and the Space X founder a week to agree on a date and location for the interview.

Federal Judge Laurel Beeler’s order, issued Saturday night, formalized a tentative ruling she made in December that sided with the regulator.

The SEC sued Musk in October to force the Tesla and SpaceX CEO to testify as part of an investigation into his 2022 purchase of Twitter, the social media giant he later renamed X.

Musk refused to attend an interview in September that was part of the investigation, the SEC said.

The agency is examining whether Musk followed the law in submitting required documentation about his Twitter stock purchases and whether his statements regarding the deal were misleading.

The 52-year-old billionaire speaks to familiar faces in a private box upon his arrival at the stadium.

Musk previously rooted for the Philadelphia Eagles in last year’s Super Bowl matchup against KC.

The founder of Space X and Tesla, who is also a billionaire, finally took off his sunglasses.

Musk objected to the SEC’s attempt to interview him, saying he had already done so twice, and accused the regulator of harassment.

Beeler rejected that argument. The SEC had authority to issue the subpoena, which sought relevant information, he said in the ruling.

If the SEC and Musk cannot agree on a date and time for the interview, Beeler said he will listen to both sides and decide for them.

Friction between Musk and the SEC began when the regulator sued him after he tweeted “funding secured” in 2018 in reference to a possible plan to take Tesla private. To resolve that case, Musk agreed that a Tesla lawyer would examine his tweets about the electric vehicle maker.

The SEC sued him again in 2019 for allegedly violating that provision.

Musk has asked the US Supreme Court to review the agreement, saying it violates his constitutional right to free speech.
