Elon Musk has divided the internet by sharing a “secret” photo of his ex-girlfriend Amber Heard dressed as video game character Mercy from Overwatch.
While many users of his X platform (formerly Twitter) praised the post, a few people were offended by the billionaire’s decision to share the image publicly.
“It goes without saying, but Elon Musk tweeting a photo of Amber Heard in cosplay to make his weirdo fanboys drool is fucking disgusting,” said angry journalist Marlow Stern.
“Elon Musk sharing this photo of Amber Heard in cosplay is squeezy,” wrote another.
“It seems like a sad life.” At least he has a few little kids to keep him company,” said another user, named Danielle.

While the majority of users on Musk’s Platform X praised the post, a handful of people took issue with it.
Danielle also pointed out that most of the positive comments came from Musk’s male followers.
“There is a huge gap between male and female comments here,” she posted. “Guys, don’t do that.”
Indeed, the post garnered quite a bit of praise, with a large portion of Musk’s followers finding the message hilarious.

A user named Danielle claimed that it was largely just men who supported Musk’s message.
“Moral of the story…achieve all your dreams,” one wrote.
“No one has more fun with power than Elon. It’s exhilarating,” exclaimed another.
“This should inspire a dream in every man. Anything is possible if you put your mind to it,” posted another.
“This photo is going to become the standard response when we say ‘money can’t buy happiness,'” one added.
“This app is amazing,” said one, while another wrote: “I will never leave this app!”
Most of Musk’s millions of followers seemed to enjoy the post and found it hilarious.

The Aquaman actress wore Musk’s raunchy costume at the time, he confirmed.
Tech mogul Musk has since posted a photo of his ex-girlfriend dressed in Mercy’s sultry outfit for his 156 million followers.
She looked into the camera while donning the white costume, halo, wings and suspenders. It has so far received 2.8 million views on X, officially known as Twitter.

His new biography titled “Elon Musk” reveals: “He told her she reminded him of Mercy, his favorite character in the video game Overwatch.
“So she spent two months designing and ordering a head-to-toe costume so she could play a role for him.”
In response to a tweet about the incident in the book, Musk confirmed: “She dressed up as Mercy. It was great.’
To transform into the video character, Heard donned her iconic white bodysuit and gold halo headpiece.
She also has mechanical wings attached to her back which Heard would have needed to play the character in good faith.
Known for her blonde hair and prominent bust, a Mercy outfit would have required a stiff corset as well as a dark-colored choker.
