Elon Musk, 52, announced Tuesday that he is moving SpaceX and X out of California in favor of the Lone Star State.

Elon Musk is moving SpaceX and X headquarters out of California and into Texas because of the liberal state’s new gender identity laws.

The 52-year-old billionaire announced the landmark move Tuesday, saying Gov. Gavin Newsom’s signing of a law banning California school districts from notifying parents if their child is transgender was “the straw that broke the camel’s back.”

“Because of this law and many others that preceded it, targeting both families and businesses, SpaceX will now move its headquarters from Hawthorne, California, to Starbase, Texas,” he said. wrote in X.

“I made it clear to Governor Newsom about a year ago that laws of this nature would force families and businesses to leave California to protect their children.”

Musk later added that the social media site will also be moving its headquarters from San Francisco to Austin, saying he was “fed up with dodging gangs of violent drug addicts just to get in and out of the building.”

He went on to suggest that “many will follow suit” and noted in a later post that “Doug Leone of Sequoia Capital publicly expressed his support for Trump six weeks ago.

“Silicon Valley has changed,” Musk said.

The billionaire has already moved Tesla’s headquarters from Palo Alto, California, to Austin after Alameda County officials did not allow him to reopen the plant due to coronavirus restrictions, despite Newsom announcing that manufacturers could restart operations.

He made good on his promise about a year later, praising Texas’ lack of income tax and the area’s abundance of housing, though he announced he would still keep Tesla’s “engineering headquarters” in California.

Musk himself had even moved to the Lone Star State in 2020 after living in California for two decades and was already in the process of moving SpaceX to Texas as he spoke out against California’s liberal policies.

She cited California Gov. Gavin Newsom’s decision to sign a controversial bill banning California school districts from notifying parents if their child is transgender as the “straw that broke the camel’s back.”

She has spoken out against the use of preferred pronouns, often mocking the practice on social media and dismissing it as part of a “woke” agenda that is dangerous to society.

Musk is the estranged father of a transgender daughter, and blames her upbringing at a private school in California for turning her politically far-left and against him.

But California Gov. Gavin Newsom has been on the opposite side, often championing these progressive ideals, even as he, too, has moved his family out of one of the state’s largest cities to an exclusive neighborhood.

On Monday, he signed into law a law that prevents public school districts from requiring staff to notify parents when their children change the pronouns they use in class.

It reversed decisions in more conservative school districts that required teachers to notify parents if a student changed his or her name or pronouns, or requested to use facilities or participate in programs that did not match his or her official gender.

Democratic state officials who pushed the law argued that students have a right to privacy and that some LGBTQ+ students live in unwelcoming homes and need protection from their own parents.

Trans activists also argued that these guidelines are vital as some children need protection from old-fashioned parents who do not accept their desire to change sex.

But parents have since criticised the policy, telling DailyMail.com that the law would encourage more school districts to implement their own secret gender reassignment policies and leave mums and dads unable to trust teachers.

They say they should instead be kept informed about their children’s gender identity.

“This is a five-alarm fire ethically and legally because it excludes parents from knowing vital information about their own children’s school records,” said Erika Sanzi of the campaign group Parents Defending Education.

‘If a school facilitates a minor’s gender transition without notifying the parents, it is carrying out a psychosocial intervention without parental consent.’

Some conservative California lawmakers have also blamed Newsom for the tech company exits.

“Gavin Newsom’s anti-parent agenda isn’t just bad for families — it’s now causing serious damage to California’s economy,” said Assembly Republican Leader James Gallagher. he told the Sacramento Bee.

‘With the highest unemployment rate in the country, you’d think our governor would be doing everything he can to protect jobs.

‘Instead, he is pandering to extremists in his party by excluding parents from their children’s education and forcing even more businesses to move to other states.’

DailyMail.com has reached out to Newsom’s office for comment.

But in an apparent attack on the billionaire on his own platform, the governor republished former President Donald Trump’s 2022 Truth Social post criticizing electric vehicles and Musk.

The former president claimed in the post that Musk visited him in the Oval Office asking for help “on all of his numerous subsidized projects” and telling him he was a “huge Trump fan and Republican.”

“I could have told him to ‘get on your knees and beg,’ and he would have done it,” Trump wrote at the time.

Newsom, however, wrote that the tycoon – who supported Trump for president – has since “taken a knee.”
