Elon Musk challenges AOC to ask his Twitter followers who they trust less: billionaires or politicians?

Elon Musk reignited his feud with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez by challenging her to retweet a poll asking her Twitter followers if they would trust billionaires over politicians.

‘Who do you trust least? A real question,” Musk tweeted Thursday night, showing a poll with only two options: “politicians” or “billionaires.”

He then mentioned Ocasio-Cortez in his follow-up tweet: ‘.@aoc I dare you to take the same poll with your followers,’ then added: ‘Lots of insightful comments in the mentions.’

Ocasio-Cortez has yet to respond to the Space X founder’s latest social media activity. Later Thursday night, Musk responded to his now-deleted tweet and threw more shade at AOC, saying, “Next time I a politician uses ‘billionaire’ as an insult, remind them that people are in greenhouses.”

His poll drew more than 2.6 million votes, with about three-quarters of supporters saying they trust lawmakers less than billionaires.

Musk’s latest tweet comes two days after Ocasio-Cortez, 32, publicly announced plans to trade her Tesla Model 3 for an electric vehicle made by union workers, which the billionaire strongly opposes.

On Thursday, Space X and Tesla founder Elon Musk continued his feud with New York Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, challenging her to conduct a Twitter poll that would ask the Democrat's supporters if they would rather trust a 'politician' Or a billionaire.

Currently, the only such vehicles AOC might consider are Ford’s massive F-150 Lightning pickup, due for release later this year, or a Chevy Bolt.

The progressive Democratic congresswoman from the Bronx, who represents New York’s 14th congressional district, told Bloomberg that she bought her Model 3 in 2020, when covid-19 started.

She added that she chose Tesla because it was the only electric car brand that would get her efficiently from the Big Apple to DC, as she would complete the trip with “one or one and a half charges.”

However, the timing of his comments has drawn attention. Just a few weeks ago, Musk jokingly told AOC on Twitter to stop flirting with him after she scolded him about the billionaire’s planned purchase of the social media platform.

Tired of having to collectively stress about the explosion of hate crimes happening because a billionaire with an ego problem unilaterally controls a mass communication platform and twists it because Tucker Carlson or Peter Thiel invited him to dinner and made him feel special. AOC tweeted. on April 29.

Three hours later, Musk responded to the congresswoman’s tweet, sharing, “Stop hitting on me, I’m so shy.”

AOC has engaged long-term web developer partner Riley Roberts in Puerto Rico in April 2022.

He let the billionaire know that he wasn’t amused by his comment: “I was talking about Zuckerberg, but he’s fine.”

The jokes continued with AOC later capturing his tweet about Musk having an ego problem, writing in that message: “Like I said, ego problems.”

When asked why he later deleted the original tweet calling out the billionaire, AOC wrote, “I try to avoid giving people with massive ego complexes like this the attention and QTs/answers they crave and seek.” [when I can help it].’

Asked Wednesday about Tesla CEO Musk’s recent statement that he will vote Republican from now on after previously voting Democrat, AOC said: “He’s a billionaire.” I could care less what he thinks.

According to Bloomberg, other Democrats who own Tesla cars include Adam Schiff of California, David Cicilline of Rhode Island, Lisa Blunt of Rochester and Tom Malinowski of New Jersey.

Another owner is the chairman of the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee, Tom Carper.

Across the aisle, Republican Congressman Thomas Massie of Kentucky owns a Tesla that he has modified with a ‘Friends of Coal’ license plate.

He told Bloomberg: ‘This is not a car company, this is a battery company. The car is just your first killer app.

In 2019, before I bought a Tesla, a fake tweet from AOC spread as Hurricane Dorian hit Florida.

The fake message read: “I see people rushing to fill up their cars for this hurricane at the gas station.” This would not be a problem if they had electric cars. If there is no electricity for a week, how are they going to get gasoline? We have to start planning in advance and move on.’

According to Snopes: “The tweet was just a made-up barb meant to make Ocasio-Cortez look dumb.”
