Elliot Page recalls how a ‘famous a**hole’ told him being gay ‘doesn’t exist’ before adding ‘I’m going to fuck you to make you realize you’re not gay’

Elliot Page recalled the “famous a**hole” who told him being gay “doesn’t exist” at a party in Los Angeles in 2014.

Page, 36, who was once known as Ellen Page and came out as transgender in 2020, recounted the moment in her upcoming memoir Pageboy in a chapter called “Famous A**hole at Party.”

The person was an actor that Page referred to as an “acquaintance”, but his name was never revealed in the book.

In an excerpt obtained by People, Page recalled the actor telling him, “You’re not gay.” There is no such thing. You are just afraid of men.

Afterwards, Page claims the actor told him, “I’m going to fuck you to make you realize you’re not gay.”

A few days later, Page ran into the actor at the gym. “I have no problem with homosexuals, I swear,” insisted the actor.

“I think so,” Page replied.

Although Page said he was “deliberately not sharing her name,” he said the interaction was witnessed by many people at the party. “But he’ll hear about it and know it’s him.”

Page included this particular story in the book to highlight the realities the LGBTQ+ community regularly faces.

“I’ve had a version of this many times throughout my life. Many queer and trans people deal with it all the time. Those moments that we love often don’t talk or that we’re supposed to brush off, when in fact it’s very awful.

“I put this story in the book because it’s about highlighting reality, the shit we deal with and what’s constantly being thrown at us, especially in predominantly cis and heterosexual environments.

“How we navigate this world where you either have more extreme and overt moments like that. Or you have more subtle jokes. [In Hollywood] they are very powerful people. They are the ones who choose the stories told and create content that people can see all over the world.

It’s one of many revelations to emerge ahead of the book’s June 6 release.

In excerpts obtained by People, Elliot also revealed he had a secret relationship with Kate Mara after he came out as gay in 2014 – and while the House Of Cards actress was dating Max Minghella.

He also recalled being in a gay bar just a few months before the premiere of his film Juno in 2008 in another excerpt obtained by People.

At the bar, he met a woman named Paula, who unwittingly helped him deal with the feelings of “shame” he had.

Elliot was paid “north of $3 million” to write his 288-page story, which Flatiron Books will publish on June 6.

The two-time Emmy-nominated producer came out as a lesbian in 2014 while speaking at the Human Rights Campaign’s “Time to Thrive” conference in Las Vegas.

Elliot kicks off his nine-date international tour on June 6 at City Hall in Midtown Manhattan, with upcoming dates to be announced soon.

It’s unclear if Elliot is still dating non-binary comedian Mae Martin after the pair got matching tattoos and dressed up for the 11th annual LACMA Art + Film Gala on Nov. 5.

Elliot’s divorce from Canadian dancer Emma Portner was finalized in 2021 after two years of marriage.
