Ella Hooper surprised fans on Wednesday night when she debuted her stunning new look at the 2024 ARIA Awards at Sydney’s Hordern Pavilion.

The Killing Heidi singer, 41, said goodbye to the colorful dreadlocked hair and flashy makeup palettes she had in the early 2000s and is now sporting a more polished look.

The Mascara hitmaker, who will be performing at the ceremony, turned heads as she showed off her best angles on the red carpet.

She exuded confidence and style as she showed off her stunning new look, which now sees her long brunette hair styled elegantly over her shoulders.

She added a unique touch by dying the ends bleach blonde.

However, she still sported the same cheeky smile she had when her band Killing Heidi rose to fame in 1999.

The four-time ARIA Award winner stunned in a $900 long-sleeved black and gold sundress by Melbourne designer Saint Stella M.

In 1999, Killing Heidi, made up of Ella, her brother Jesse and friends Aaron Hart on drums and Rowen Murphy, burst onto the Australian music charts with their hit song Mascara from their debut album Reflector.

The band continued to rack up more hits with their follow-up songs Superman/Supergirl and Weir, and won four ARIA Awards in 2000, including Album of the Year and Best Group.

The band released three albums: Reflector (2000), Presente (2002) and Killing Heidi (2004).

Violet Town band Victoria broke up in 2006, before reforming in 2016 after a 10-year hiatus.

She continued to work solo with her music, competing against nine other acts to represent Australia as a solo artist in the Eurovision Song Contest 2019 with her song Data Dust.

Unfortunately for Ella, Kate Miller-Heidke ended up winning the contest.

She is now the host of the ’90s music-themed podcast Front & Center, available on the Triple M 90 station and the LiSTNR app.

Elsewhere in the ceremony, Tones and I led the winners on Wednesday night when she took home the crown for Best Video.

The Australian singer won the award for her latest single Dance With Me, but was unable to accept the award in person.

Co-directors Nick Kozakis and Sela Vai accepted the award on behalf of the Dance Monkey hitmaker, paying an emotional tribute to the artist.

‘I can’t believe we did it. I just want to give a big shout out to (my team). Congratulations to everyone involved,’ Tones said in a video sent to the ARIAs.
