Ella, who grew up in London, traveled to Jamaica where her father lived all his life and explained that the journey helped her deal with her grief.
“My father died and it threw me a little bit a bit and I stepped back,” she said. ‘I went to Jamaica with real self-assurance and anxiety and to deal with demons and I came back with the feeling of being a whole new person.
‘The only project that I am really focusing on now is to get my solo album up and running again. More music is planned … a lot is happening behind the scenes. “
