Disturbing video has emerged of the dramatic end to an alleged crime spree in which a young woman allegedly bit and assaulted three police officers during her dramatic arrest.
Two officers were allegedly bitten on the hand and forearm, while their colleague was allegedly assaulted while trying to restrain the woman in Elizabeth North, in Adelaide’s north, on Monday.
Footage taken by shocked bystanders showed officers struggling to detain the woman as she allegedly attempted to resist arrest.
One of the officers grimaced after he was allegedly bitten.
The officers allegedly bitten were taken to the hospital and have since been released. His colleague also needed medical treatment.
The officers are feared to have contracted illnesses and will be absent from duty for the remainder of the week. 10 news reported.
The woman, 24, from Davoren Park is now in custody after being charged with multiple offenses following her alleged crime spree.

Police were called to The Red Lion hotel on Woodford Road on Monday afternoon following reports that a woman allegedly damaged a car and fled the scene.
A short time later, the same woman allegedly approached a Mazda SUV that stopped at the intersection of Main North Road and Midway Road and threw a brick at the vehicle, which narrowly missed.
Police allege the woman tried to get into the car and hit the driver’s window with a headbutt.
The driver and occupants closed the doors and the woman drove away.

Police alleged that the woman was also captured on CCTV allegedly destroying a local mailbox, leaving locals scared, it reported. 10 news.
Officers launched an urgent search and located the woman on Yorktown Road, where the woman “violently resisted” arrest, police alleged.
The 24-year-old woman was charged with a series of serious crimes.
They included three counts of assaulting an emergency worker causing harm, three counts of obstructing police, damage, vehicle interference, carrying offensive weapons and launching missiles.
The woman also allegedly destroyed a local mailbox (pictured) during the crime spree.
The woman appeared at Elizabeth Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday morning, where the magistrate heard she has two other cases pending for assaulting emergency workers.
The woman’s attorney told the court that the 24-year-old had a history of mental illness and substance abuse.
The woman will remain behind bars until a bail application can be prepared.
South Australian Premier Peter Malinauskas was shocked by the alleged incident.
“This behavior cannot and should never be tolerated,” he told reporters Tuesday.
“(The community needs to) show proper respect to those men and women who put themselves in harm’s way for the safety of others.”
The woman allegedly damaged a vehicle at The Red Lion hotel and that’s when police were called.
