NFL fans had a field day in the comments section after Giants legend Eli Manning first posted about riding the New York City Subway.
On Wednesday evening, Manning posted a selfie on a 6 Train platform downtown, writing “First time on the subway!”
As a result, fans and residents of the Big Apple flooded the comments with jokes about Manning’s mode of transportation and whereabouts in the city.
“Where were you at 6:45 today?” read the top comment.
“Don’t touch the homeless people our thugs drugged,” another advised. “They will persecute you.”
“The doors say ‘Emergency Exit’ at the turnstiles Eli, but that’s just a suggestion,” a third added. ‘Feel free to use whenever you want!’

“Be careful, Tom Brady has been spotted lurking down there,” a fourth joked.
A fifth user simply told the legendary quarterback, “Don’t make eye contact.”
‘Literally in New York through the safe times and now deciding to take the subway??’ a sixth questioned.
Manning played for 16 years with the New York Giants, leading the team to Super Bowl supremacy in 2008 and 2012. Although the team is named after the Empire State, they are located just across the Hudson River in New Jersey.
The Giants rarely set foot in the five boroughs, as both MetLife Stadium and the team’s headquarters and training facility are located in East Rutherford.
As Manning embarked on his first Subway experience, other professional athletes have taken the mode of transportation before him.
In 2017, LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers took to the metro after a shootaround in preparation for a game against the Knicks.
In November, the Detroit Pistons were also forced to take a train to Barclays Center in downtown Brooklyn as the New York City Marathon clogged major thoroughfares.
