With 11 days until the election, Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are tied nationwide in the popular vote.

latest New York Times and Siena College Poll has the candidates tied at 48 percent each. The result further highlights the possibility of this being one of the closest general elections in decades.

But the findings are not a good sign for Harris, since in past elections Democrats led the popular vote and still lost the Electoral College.

Trump saw a surge in a series of polls on Thursday, giving him momentum with less than two weeks left in the campaign.

On Friday, he’ll head to Texas to record a podcast with Joe Rogan, while Beyonce will appear alongside Harris in Houston.

Donald Trump and Kamala Harris deadlocked in major new poll

Donald Trump and Kamala Harris are tied in a major new national poll.

Both Republican and Democratic candidates win 48 percent of the popular vote, according to the New York Times-Siena College poll.

The result is a bad sign for Harris, as Democrats have maintained a lead in the popular vote in recent elections, even when their candidate lost the Electoral College.

Harris has also slipped slightly since the poll was last conducted earlier this month, when she had a one-point lead.

Ultimately, regardless of the popular vote, the election will be decided in seven key battleground states, where the two candidates are also running neck and neck.

Donald Trump is deploying a novel turnout speech at his rallies: telling MAGA wives to encourage their husbands to get their ‘fat a** off the couch to do their civic duty.

Trump tried it at his Las Vegas rally Thursday night in a call for early voting in a hotly contested state. ‘Polls are open for early voting in Nevada every day from now until November 1. So bring your husband… Hank: Get off the couch, Hank! Get up, grab that big ass of yours, let’s vote for president. We’re going to change our country, Hank. Come on, let’s go, Hank,’ to applause from the crowd.

Earlier Thursday in Phoenix, it was Jimmy who needed a motivational kick in the butt. -Jimmy, let’s go. Come on. Jimmy, I’m not going to use bad language. Get your fat ass off the couch. You’re going to vote, Jimmy, you’re going to vote. We’re going to save our country, Jimmy, we’re going to save our country.’

His speech comes as a new YouGov poll showed Trump with a 55-40 lead among those who say they planned to vote on Election Day, with Harris leading 63-32 among those who planned to vote by mail or absentee.

What happens if the election between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris ends in an electoral college tie?

As the 2024 general election season heats up, Vice President Kamala Harris and Donald Trump find themselves in a tight race that could come down to just a few thousand votes in several battleground states.

But with polls calling the race too close to call, perhaps even the closest in modern history, there is doubt as to whether any of the leading presidential contenders will reach the 270 Electoral College votes needed to win outright. the November 5 elections.

Each candidate needs to find a path to victory that inevitably passes through crucial states and currently within the margin of error of the swing state polls.

But even then, there is a scenario in which the election results in neither candidate obtaining the required majority in the Electoral College and it could be a tie 269-269.

So what? Well, it’s happened before, although not in 200 years!
