Harvey Weinstein has been rushed to hospital with a “myriad of health issues” including Covid and double pneumonia.
The 72-year-old convicted rapist was taken to Bellevue Hospital prison, New York Department of Correction records show.
His representative, Craig Rothfeld, said Weinstein has pre-existing conditions that he “still deals with on a daily basis,” including “diabetes, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis and fluid in his heart and lungs.”
Additionally, the disgraced movie mogul has been diagnosed with Covid-19 and pneumonia in both lungs, according to Rothfeld.

“We continue to express our gratitude to the officers, doctors and nurses at DOCS, CHS and NYC H+H who ensured Mr. Weinstein was immediately transferred to the Bellevue Hospital Correctional Facility and we will continue to work with them to ensure Mr. Weinstein receives appropriate medical treatment,” Rothfeld said in a statement to DailyMail.com.
Weinstein was convicted in New York and Los Angeles of a range of sexual offences and was serving a 23-year sentence on the East Coast.
In the New York case, he was found guilty of sexually assaulting former production assistant Miriam Haley and raping aspiring actress Jessica Mann.
However, the charges were dropped earlier this year after a state appeals judge ruled he did not receive a fair hearing.
The New York Court of Appeals ruled that women who made allegations about Weinstein but were not part of the criminal complaint should not have been allowed to testify at the trial.
A new tentative date has been set for a new trial, with jury selection set to begin on November 12.
Weinstein remains in prison while his Los Angeles conviction for rape and sexual assault is still outstanding.

In recent court appearances, the ailing producer has been wheelchair-bound, looking sickly and pale.
He was sentenced to 16 years in prison on three counts of sexual assault against Russian model Evgeniya Chernyshova, for which he filed an appeal.
At the height of his power, Weinstein was the most influential man in Hollywood.
But his world came crashing down following allegations of sexual misconduct first published in the New York Times, which later formed the basis of the #MeToo movement.

In April, he was sent to Bellevue for a series of medical tests. At the time, his lawyer described him as a “disaster in terms of health.”
Arthur Aidala said his client’s problems were all physical. He added that he is “mentally very alert. He has his feet firmly on the ground.”
The lawyer said Weinstein was “not treated well” by prison staff.
He is also receiving treatment for a number of pre-existing conditions, including “diabetes, high blood pressure, spinal stenosis and fluid in his heart and lungs.”

The New York case convicted him of sexually assaulting Miriam Haley (left) and raping Jessica Mann (right), but an appeals court has since overturned it. Weinstein remains in prison in connection with his conviction in Los Angeles.
“They refused to give him even a sip of water, or food, or permission to go to the bathroom,” Aidala said. “He is a sick 72-year-old man.”
Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg vowed to do “everything in our power” to retry the case, adding that his office “remains steadfast in our commitment to survivors of sexual assault.”
If his second appeal against his conviction in Los Angeles is successful, the embarrassed film industry boss could walk free.
