Man, 76, stabbed multiple times and rushed to hospital as woman is arrested

An elderly man was stabbed in the chest, back and neck in western Sydney and rushed to hospital with a woman who is believed to have been arrested.
The 76-year-old man was treated by paramedics who were called to a unit block in Torres Crescent, Whalan, at around 2:25pm on Saturday.
The man was transported to nearby Westmead Hospital in stable condition.

NSW Police confirmed a 45-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and is assisting with investigations.
Officers with the Mt Druitt Police Area Command have established a crime scene and detectives are investigating.
