Elden Ring recently got the 1.07 update and that patch contains clues to a massive expansion. For example, a datamine from the update revealed that the game will mention as many as 30 new bosses. In addition, the new files also refer to weapons, maps and more.
The datamine was performed by Reddit user @sekirodubi. According to him, we can expect a solid expansion for Elden Ring soon. In the game files, for example, he found no fewer than 30 references to new boss fights ‘for DCL purposes’. Of course it is not certain whether we will actually get 30 boss battles. After all, it could be that the files also refer to bosses that were eventually deleted.
Other things @sekirodubi found in the 1.07 update are new hairstyles, six new weapon categories and even new tasks for the AI. Furthermore, the potential DLC also includes new legacy dungeon map files, Colosseum map files, and changes to most of the Divine Towers.
Finally, 16 new NPCs appeared, which are part of ‘Someone Yet Unseen’. Probably a new mission or a character we haven’t seen before.
While the clues are there, From Software hasn’t officially announced the expansion yet. Hopefully we will hear more soon…
