Elaine Welteroth leaves The Talk after just one season.
“We wish Elaine all the best. We are grateful for her passion, enthusiasm and insight that she brings to the show on a daily basis,” executive producers Heather Gray and Kristin Matthews said in a statement. Deadline.
“Her openness and meaningful conversations were qualities we admired and always appreciated.”
Her departure comes after Sharon Osbourne was the center of a racing storm for defending longtime friend Piers Morgan on an episode that aired in March this year.

Osbourne, 68, was accused of racism after assisting Morgan in his own scandal involving his vehement convictions of Meghan Markle.
Welteroth began hosting the show in late 2020 and officially joined the lineup as a full-time panelist in January of this year.
In a statement to Deadline, Welteroth said, “It is an absolute honor for anyone, but especially a young black woman, to occupy space in the sky where our perspectives are largely underrepresented.”
She added: “It was gratifying to be able to appear every day as my authentic self in front of a live national audience in a world as divided as ours and to stay true to myself and what I stand for.”
