She is known for playing what she describes as ‘sexy bombshell’ types – which is not surprising, given her stunning appearance.

Now Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez has revealed that she was a compulsive eater as a child, after losing her father in a tragic accident when she was only 12 years old.

Immersed in a deep depression, she started relying on food to get her through the day, the 30-year-old February edition of Nexos Magazine for American Airlines.

But a budding love for acting helped Eiza solve her problems when she enrolled in a drama school. “My life changed from one day to the next,” she recalls the discovery of her passion for acting.

“It has completely changed. If you are at the bottom, you should always look at the positive side of things. That is the way to survive in this life. ”

Eiza stated earlier via Instagram: ‘Between 15 and 20 years it was very difficult for me because I ate compulsively. It took me a long time to decipher that it all happened because I was depressed after my father died.

“And it was very difficult for me, but I changed my eating habits and started to eat healthier and I took care of myself in all areas. It took me 5 years to get out of depression and accept my loss. “

After her father’s death, the Baby Driver star was raised by her mother, a dental student who also worked as a model to take care of her two children.

“My mother was always an extremely industrious woman and she set an example for me to follow my whole life,” says Eiza, who started working professionally at the age of 17.

Nowadays Eiza is based in Los Angeles and says she loves the outdoor lifestyle.

She certainly uses the possibilities that the city offers, even when she attended the Oscars last week, on the arm of Avengers star Jeremy Renner.

It was the second time in a week that the two spent time together after hanging out at the Super Bowl in Miami, although sources near Eiza have denied any romance.

She has previously been linked to Miley Cyrus’ ex Liam Hemsworth and Fergie’s ex Josh Duhamel.

“It wasn’t easy, but I’ve been lucky enough to work consistently since the day I set foot in the United States. It is something for which I am immensely grateful and I feel completely humiliated and honored that I have had that opportunity. “

But, she says, there can be bigger roles for Latinos.

“There have been more opportunities in the last two to three years, but I don’t feel there is quality in the projects. One can come where you act as the lead actor, and then five years will pass without another coming your way. “
