Eiza Gonzalez is ROASTED for claiming she’s missed out on movie roles for being too pretty: ‘She can’t act her way out of a paper bag!’

Eiza Gonzalez was roasted online after claiming she missed out on movie roles because she was “too pretty”.

The 34-year-old actress said her beauty hurt her career, although many fans seemed to think the lackluster opportunities had more to do with her talent.

In a new interview with In the style Eiza said: “I remember being told for so many projects, ‘She’s too pretty for the role.’ She’s too sexy for the role.” Then I would just ask myself: What is Margot Robbie? She’s the sexiest, most beautiful woman I’ve ever seen in my life!’

The Mexican star added that Latinas are held to different standards, and admitted that she had been suffering from an “identity crisis for a very long time” and even considered shaving her head in a bid to improve her outlook.

After the interview, many took to social media to express their surprised reactions, with one commenter writing on Twitter: “She can’t talk her way out of a paper bag!”

“No, she just stinks at acting,” another commenter added.

“Damn, just like acting better…” someone else wrote.

“I have another idea why she hasn’t gotten roles,” another person added.

Many comments discussed how Margot Robbie and Scarlett Johansson’s careers seemed to be thriving, despite their beauty.

“Yes, I’m sure that’s the reason,” another comment read.

Someone else wrote: “I’m glad she thinks so much of herself.”

Many found it hard to believe that this was the reason she missed out on roles: “It probably never happened.”

Another commenter called the actress “vain,” while someone else pointed out that she probably also “got a bunch of roles because she’s pretty,” not despite that.

In the interview, Eiza explained how she plans to shave her head.

“I was like, ‘Do I shave my head? Am I making myself less attractive? Do I make myself more attractive? Don’t I dress very sexy or do I cover up all the time?’

Meanwhile, Eiza previously called for greater representation of Latinas in the fashion and beauty industry, after appearing in a campaign for Louis Vuitton.

The actress – born in Mexico City – told Vogue: “I grew up watching all these beauty campaigns in the ’90s and I didn’t see a lot of Mexican women there, especially in these big brands.

“It’s always kind of convinced me that I have to be a specific style of woman to be that, and the fact that Mexican girls who are brown and Latina like me will see a campaign like this and relate to it with the magnitude of the brand makes me so honored and happy.

“It’s about normalizing an image for people and making them feel included and seen.”

She posed for InStyle’s spring 2024 cover this month. The brunette beauty looked stunning in an all-gray ensemble.

She opted for a tight tank top that showed off her toned figure with trendy flowy pants. Her snake-shaped diamond necklace served as a sparkling centerpiece. And she added natural makeup with a bold red lip that made her pout pop.

During her interview, she talked about her love life. And Eiza admitted that after being cheated on, she now only dates men who have undergone therapy.

The actress shared that when she was a teen idol, she learned that her boyfriend had recorded an intimate video with another girl. She claims to have learned of his infidelity “from the cover of a magazine”, like everyone else.

But that didn’t leave her in ruins. She decided to take this unfortunate situation and turn it into something positive. Since then, she has enjoyed her greatest success.

The Mexico City native reflected on the scandal, saying she faced a mix of partying and crying as a young actress in Los Angeles. So she worked tirelessly to distract herself from the failed relationship with her career.

Although distraught and emotional, she revealed that her mother pushed her and made movements while she was healing. When she updated her IMDB page and found a manager in the United States, the jobs started flowing in.

Eiza has a number of projects in the works, including a role in an episode of the hit new series Mr. & Mrs. Smith.

She is also in three episodes of 3 Body Problem, as well as The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare, Ash, La Maquina, Fountain of Youth and an untitled Guy Ritchie project.

Eiza became a household name after starring in the Argentinian series Suena conmigo, as well as playing the role of Santanico Pandemonium in From Dusk Till Dawn: The Robert Rodriguez-Developed Series, Baby Driver, and Alita: Battle Angel.
