Princess Anne is known for upcycling her favorite wardrobe items, whether it’s dresses, bags or coats.

The royal, 73, demonstrated her knack for repurposing on Friday when she visited the Queen Elizabeth 2 (QE2) hotel in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, wearing an aquamarine dress she has owned for 46 years.

Anne’s dress, which debuted during President Khama of Botswana’s state visit to London in 1978 when she was 26, incorporates a statement collar, checkered bodice and elegant pleated skirt.

She paired her dress with a single-breasted jacket in a matching hue, elevating the look with a cream clutch and bow-embellished pumps, which she wore to Royal Ascot in 2023.

Anne, who is often referred to as the “hardest working royal” of the British Royal Family, is visiting the United Arab Emirates as president of the Mission for Seafarers.

This is the second tour of the year for Princess Anne, who traveled to Sri Lanka in January with her husband, Sir Timothy Laurence, 69.

Created in a striking aquamarine hue, the mother-of-two’s timeless dress features a statement collar, plaid bodice and elegant midi length.

The Princess Royal first wore the garment during the 1978 state visit of President Khama of Botswana, to London, when she was 26 years old.

Anne has since worn the dress on several occasions, including Royal Ascot in 2013, and it remains in pristine condition.

The royal’s choice of outfit is also reminiscent of her late mother, after whom the hotel is named.

Anne’s dress is created in the same shade that Queen Elizabeth II wore when she launched the ship in Glasgow in September 1967, forging a touching bond between mother and daughter.

Anne wore understated makeup, with berry lipstick and her hair up in her signature style.

Princess Anne is commonly known as the hardest working royal, having taken on the most engagements in 2023.

Last week he paid tribute to “extraordinary” Rob Burrow during a Rugby League reception honoring the community for its work raising funds for Motor Neurone Disease.

The Princess Royal, looking sophisticated in a red coat, appeared in high spirits as she spoke on stage and chatted with Rob, 41, and his wife Lindsey at the event at Headingley Stadium in Leeds.

Anne praised Rob Burrow and Kevin Sinfield’s own “most extraordinary example of raising awareness of a truly devastating diagnosis.”

The former Leeds Rhinos player was diagnosed with MND in 2019, two years after retiring from the sport, and was given just two years to live.

Since then, he has not only existed, but has remained defiantly and triumphantly alive, determined to raise money and awareness about the merciless disease that has left him completely paralyzed.

In honor of his friend, Kevin has in turn undertaken a series of endurance challenges, raising £13 million for MND charities.

First he ran seven marathons (over 180 miles) in seven days. Then in 2021, he ran 101 miles in just 24 hours.

In 2022, he ran seven ultramarathons in seven days, covering an astonishing 60 kilometers a day for a week.
