The Edmonton Oilers continued their miraculous series comeback from 3-0 down and forced a do-or-die Game 7 in the Stanley Cup Finals, after beating the Florida Panthers on Friday night in Game 6 .
The hosts got goals from Warren Foegele, Adam Henrique and Zach Hyman before Ryan McLeod and Darnell Nurse scored with an empty net late in the third period, winning 5-1 at home and once again denying the Panthers their first title.
The Oilers are the first team to tie the finals after falling behind 3-0 in the series since the Detroit Red Wings in 1945.
The Oilers have a chance Monday night at Sunrise to join the 1942 Toronto Maple Leafs as the only NHL teams to overcome that deficit to hoist the Stanley Cup.

Aleksander Barkov added a consolation goal in the third period for the Panthers, who now have one more chance to win a series they previously had well under control.
Florida had just six shots on net midway through the game and finished with 21. Continuing the trend of being there when the Oilers need him most, Oilers goalie Stuart Skinner made timely stops to hinder the Panthers, allowing only one goal to Aleksander Barkov. 90 seconds in the third period.
The series will return to Florida on Monday for Game 7.
