Ederson performed a remarkable piece of skill when Manchester City traveled to Newcastle on Saturday.
The Brazilian has long been renowned for his exceptional ability with the ball at his feet and has been an integral component of Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering team since his arrival in 2017.
As further evidence of his skill on the ball, since arriving in England, Ederson has provided four assists, leaving him second in the Premier League’s all-time rankings.
In the first half of City’s clash against Newcastle, Ederson received the ball outside his own area as Anthony Gordon charged at him with the game tied 0-0.
Clearly unaffected by the striker’s onslaught, the goalkeeper coolly heeled the ball to safety.

Pep Guardiola did not seem very impressed with his goalkeeper as he watched him from the touchline.
While he maintained his composure throughout the sequence, the same could not be said for Guardiola as he watched from the touchline.
When the television cameras focused on the coach, he seemed completely exasperated by Ederson’s indifference with the ball.
While his manager clearly wasn’t too keen on Ederson’s antics, the incident proved popular with fans on social media.
Someone called Ederson “The best goalie I’ve ever seen.”
Another added: “This man wasn’t supposed to be a goalie.”
A third wrote: ‘It feels weird to say “stop that, Ederson!” without it seeming like pretty obvious advice for a goalkeeper. By the way, what a heel it was.
The sequence proved to be a big hit with fans online, who praised Ederson’s ball-playing skills.
Guardiola’s mood would improve soon after when Josko Gvardiol gave the Premier League champions the lead at St James’ Park.
However, City were caught early in the second half, when Gordon scored from the spot after Ederson brought down the England international.
