Ederson is a doubt for Manchester City’s Premier League showdown against Liverpool on Sunday after coming off against Atalanta.
The Brazilian came off at half-time and was replaced by Claudio Bravo.
It is understood that the move to bring Ederson off was a precautionary one with City concerned that he had suffered a minor injury.

Should the 26-year-old be unavailable for the clash with Liverpool it would be a major blow for Pep Guardiola and City.
Bravo would be required to make his first league appearance of the season if Ederson isn’t fit.
Ederson has played in all of City’s Premier League and Champions League matches this season.

He suffered a similar injury scare in January this year when he sustained a leg injury in a 2-1 defeat by Newcastle.
On that occasion, however, he did recover in time to take on Arsenal in the next game.
