EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Meghan Markel IS still friends with Jessica Mulroney and two in ‘regular contact’
She is the best friend and mentor of the Duchess of Sussex, who was asked to be a bridesmaid at the royal wedding, but Jessica Mulroney is said to have become estranged from Meghan since she was involved in an embarrassing race.
The absence of comments on social media about the Duchess by Canadian stylist Jessica, the daughter-in-law of former Canadian Prime Minister Brian Mulroney, sparked a series of reports that they had gotten into a fight.
However, a mutual friend tells me that they are still good friends.
A mutual friend tells me that the Duchess of Sussex still has a close relationship with her best friend and mentor, Jessica Mulroney. ‘Meghan is in regular contact with Jessica,’ says the source (pictured together in March 2016)
“Meghan is in regular contact with Jessica,” the source said.
“It’s just hard now that they’re in California and Jessica is in Toronto.”
All Mulroney will say is, “Just because it didn’t happen on Instagram doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.”

The smart set talks about…Lady Tasha’s quick engagement
Lady Natasha Howard was once mentioned as a potential bride for Prince Harry after watching him dance the night away at the Womad Music Festival at her family’s estate, but I’ve heard she’s found a much more sensible match for herself.
And while Harry still hasn’t met his father-in-law after five years, Tasha’s father has quickly taken to heart her fiancé, Charlie Quick.
“The Countess and I are very happy,” says the Earl of Suffolk. “He is a very nice man and we hoped that this engagement could take place.”
Lady Natasha Howard, 33, was once mooted as a potential bride for Prince Harry and has found a much more sensible match with her fiancé, Charlie Quick
Willowy Lady Natasha, 33, who works for a trendy London spa, is expected to exchange vows with financier Charlie at her 4,500-acre estate, Charlton Park in Wiltshire.
The count says, “I’m sure it will take place here.”
She “married” to a rock six years ago, and now Tracey Emin “christens” her pets.
The Turner Prize-winning performer has purchased two moggies, which she has named King Pancake Rameses IV and Nefertiti Teacup III.
She held the ‘christening ceremony’ outside her studio in Margate, Kent. “I’m so happy,” says Emin, who also donated godparents to them.
(Very) modern manners
TV chef Clodagh McKenna has taken a drastic step to prove she’s not a bad stepmother: she’s taken her stepchildren on a honeymoon.
Clodagh, 46, who married the Queen’s godson, Harry Herbert, 62, a fortnight ago, invited his children by his first wife, Chica, to accompany them to Ibiza.
Model Frankie Herbert, 25, musician Will, 21, and equestrian Chloe, 27, are staying with them in the same villa on the Spanish island. “Clodagh wanted it to be a family honeymoon,” I’m told.
Former Chancellor George Osborne and his new baby were among the guests at the couple’s wedding, held at Highclere Castle, owned by Herbert’s brother, the Earl of Carnarvon, and where Downton Abbey is filmed.
New beauty wipes Nancy off her feet
Best known for her tumultuous romances with former England manager Sven-Goran Eriksson and theater director Sir Trevor Nunn, Nancy Dell’Olio has now found love in her native Italy.
I hear the former Strictly star enjoys intimate dances with Italian businessman Beppe de Leo in Puglia, the region for which she is an ambassador. “I’m having a lot of fun,” is all she wants to tell me. “This is the best time of my life.”
Soon it will be even more lively: her friend Sarah, Duchess of York, will be accompanied in Puglia.
