Cara Delevingne made her West End stage debut in Cabaret on Thursday, but her girlfriend, musician Leah Mason, says the top model was always destined to tread the boards.
“Cara doesn’t get nervous,” Leah, who performs under the stage name Minke, tells me at the gala night at London’s Kit Kat Club. “She’s a professional.”
The property developer’s daughter Cara, 31, met his girlfriend, also 31, at Bedales boarding school 20 years ago and started dating her in 2022 after they reconnected at a party.

“She’s always acted and sang since school; she’s been doing it for years,” Leah adds. “She was born to play Sally Bowles.”
Cara, whose godmother is Dame Joan Collins, was joined at the gala night by friends including Peaky Blinders star Anya Taylor-Joy and Fleabag creator Phoebe Waller-Bridge.
Hirst’s muse pouts for charity photos
The former dancer has moved another artist. Damien Hirst pictured with his girlfriend Sophie Cannell
Damien Hirst immortalized his love for his pregnant girlfriend Sophie Cannell when he created a sculpture based on her body as one of four works for Mayfair restaurant Bacchanalia, inspired by stories from Greek mythology. Now the former dancer has moved another artist.
I hear that Rankin, the photographer who captured the late Queen and King Charles, has used Sophie as a muse in his latest work for a charity exhibition.
The striking image is a close-up of her lips, painted with bright red lipstick, as she bites into the thorny stem of a rose.
“The secret is out,” Rankin says. “Thank you so much to Sophie for being part of the shoot.”
Is this evidence that Princess Martha Louise of Norway’s fiancé Durek Verrett will be a royal model?
The 49-year-old ‘shaman’, known as the hottest guru in Hollywood, worked his magic on the catwalk during Los Angeles Fashion Week.
“I closed the show and it was nice to walk the catwalk again,” says Durek, who strutted (right) for US brand Tell The Truth, wearing a £965 turquoise snakeskin jacket and matching trousers.
Durek, a self-proclaimed “global ambassador of love” who boasts of contact with extraterrestrials, will exchange vows in August with the princess, our late Queen’s second cousin.
Why Ant can’t match Dec’s millions
I hear Dec has over £30m in the business which he uses to channel his profits.
He and his partner Ant McPartlin are King Charles’ favorite TV presenters – and now Declan Donnelly’s wealth is reaching royal proportions.
I hear Dec has over £30m in the business which he uses to channel his profits. Deecourt Ltd’s accounts, published on Thursday, reveal it had net assets of £31.1m in 2023, up £1.8m on the previous year.
Donnelly, 48, is now much richer than McPartlin even though ITV has always paid them the same for shows such as Britain’s Got Talent, I’m A Celebrity… and Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway.
This is because Ant had to pay £31 million to his first wife, Lisa Armstrong, when they divorced in 2018 after 12 years of marriage.
Tony Blackburn’s admission this week that he had not read his own ghost-written autobiography, in which he claimed to have slept with more than 500 women before settling down, surprised fellow veteran DJ ‘Diddy’ David Hamilton, 85 years.
Diddy is finishing work on his own life story, which will be published in a couple of months to coincide with his 65th anniversary in broadcasting.
“I’ve written every word,” he assures me. “There will be sex, drugs and rock ‘n’ roll.”
But can it compete with Blackburn’s number of lovers? ‘I’m not one to keep score. A gentleman never says it.
Top black tycoon joins William’s Earthsot charity
Ric Lewis, 61, (pictured) runs ‘the only black-owned private equity fund in London’
Before Prince William went on holiday to Norfolk with Catherine and their children, he made a key appointment. I hear the heir to the throne has appointed business leader Ric Lewis as director of his Earthshot Prize charity.
Lewis, 61, runs “the only black-owned private equity fund in London.” He is one of Britain’s most prominent black achievers and was ranked first in 2019 on Powerlist, an annual list of the country’s influencers with African or Afro-Caribbean heritage.
“William won’t sing and dance about it, but this appointment reflects his determination to promote diversity,” a friend tells me.
Lewis, who founded Tristan Capital Partners, said in 2019 that he was not invited to join company boards, unlike his white contemporaries. He said: “I’ve been a CEO on two continents, I’ve founded three companies, I’ve managed billions of capital – £12bn here and £20bn in my last company, it all started from scratch – and I don’t understand board calls. here.
