You don’t have to be Sherlock Holmes to see Benedict Cumberbatch lurking behind Emma Raducanu in this photo.
The couple were attending the Frieze Art Fair VIP preview in Regent’s Park, London.
Tennis fan Cumberbatch, 48, who played Sir Arthur Conan Doyle’s detective in the BBC drama Sherlock, is a regular at Wimbledon’s Royal Box.
But it’s not known if she gave 21-year-old Raducanu any advice on how to regain the form that saw her win a Grand Slam at the 2021 US Open. Now that’s a three-pipe problem!

‘Mindful dining’ with Deepak Chopra is a challenge for Lisa Snowdon
A ‘mindful dinner’ with Meghan Markle’s ‘guru’ Deepak Chopra appears to have been a challenge for TV presenter Lisa Snowdon.
The event at Jugad restaurant, opened by delivery service Foodhak in Camden, London, included a ten-minute meditation.
“I was so conscious that we didn’t want to start eating,” Snowdon tells me. “We were listening to Deepak speak and we had to pay attention… the food was bothering me.”

Queen’s English Society rebrands
The Queen’s English Society has been renamed the King’s English Society.
But his Facebook page has caused despair by omitting the apostrophe in his new name.
“It’s not because we don’t know how to use the possessive apostrophe,” says president Adrian Williams, “it’s the software.” I hope that in the next two or three days you will see all obvious embarrassment removed.’

Andy Warhol’s silkscreen works to be auctioned
Two of Andy Warhol’s screen-printed works are going up for auction today at Phillips in London: a portrait of Princess Diana and another of King Charles (as Prince of Wales).
Warhol produced four of each, but Diana’s is estimated to cost considerably more than Charles’: up to £1.8 million, down from £1.5 million.
These figures may fuel the theory, expressed in some quarters, that Charles came to feel overshadowed by his glamorous wife.

While Sir Keir Starmer and his Labor colleagues get as many freebies as possible, former culture minister Ed Vaizey remembers having his leg pulled before a flight to the Falklands.

“We were waiting in Brize Norton for the RAF flight and a parliamentary colleague, Nigel Evans, said: ‘Ed, if you take your British Airways Executive Clubcard to that counter, they’ll give you the airline miles,'” he reveals on the secrets podcast. travel.
Lord Vaizey, 56, was told at reception that there were no such benefits on an RAF flight and admits “it was one of the most humiliating moments of my life”.
Angela Rippon wins role in Saga Cruises
Angela Rippon and Kai Widdrington (pictured) dance on Strictly
Angela Rippon’s high kicks on Strictly Come Dancing at the age of 78 have earned her a role on Saga Cruises. She and her dance partner, Kai Widdrington, will be on board, dancing and teaching. I hope not too many of the passengers get hurt trying to emulate Rippon’s extraordinary moves.
