Eddie Boxshall admits sending 20 sexts behind Denise Van Outen’s back
Eddie Boxshall has claimed that Denise Van Outen “yelled obscenities at him” and kicked him out of her house when he admitted exchanging text messages.
The 49-year-old commodity trader said he sent up to 20 sexual messages behind Denise’s back while discussing their split after seven years together.
He said Denise, 47, “yelled at” him and kicked him out in November after confronting him about sexual messages and photos she found on his iPad.

Eddie said he had sent all the messages to a woman he met online one night over drinks, but denied cheating on Denise on any other occasions.
Speaking of his row, he said Sun: ‘She was furious, yelling obscenities at me, that she didn’t want me in her life anymore, and my life was going to be ruined without her, then she physically helped me out of the house.’
Eddie said he feels ashamed and “deeply sorry” for sending the messages and said he has contacted his ex-anchor girlfriend many times to apologize.
He admitted that he had broken Denise’s trust and said he hoped their relationship could survive his mistake, but added that he respects her decision.

He added: ‘I knew my actions had broken us. But I still hoped that our relationship of seven years would be strong enough to withstand a mistake I made at a very dark time in my life.
Eddie said he has been struggling for the past six months and has turned to alcohol as a coping mechanism, but said he has started to feel more positive in recent weeks.
Turning to the images on his iPad, Eddie said Denise found a photograph of a woman’s cleavage, a photo of him posing with an ex-girlfriend, whose contact photo was a raunchy photo, and saw that her screen saver had been a selfie of them
But Eddie adamantly denied cheating on Denise with any of the women, saying the photo of him and his ex-girlfriend was taken when he randomly ran into her with a group of friends.

He claimed that he made the photo his screensaver by mistake and accidentally took a screenshot, while saying that the risque contact photo was set when they were in a relationship and he had forgotten about it.
Addressing the photo Denise found of another woman’s cleavage, Eddie said the photograph had been sent to him without his request, as he claimed the snaps were “innocent.”
Speaking about the sexts, Eddie said he sent them during a difficult time, when he was accused of serious misconduct by his former employers SCB & Associates in 2017, with a hearing date set for October 2018.
He said he turned to alcohol and suffered crippling panic attacks as his legal costs ran into tens of thousands of pounds.

Eddie admitted that he was too embarrassed to confide in Denise about his financial problems as they tried to find a home together, and instead confided in a woman who had messaged him on Instagram in April 2018.
He said he had sent the woman up to 20 sexual messages after having drinks one night, but felt like an “idiot” when he woke up the next morning and told the woman it shouldn’t have happened.
Eddie said they didn’t exchange any more risque texts but remained friends for a few months, before they stopped speaking to each other entirely in November 2018.
The dealer said he had considered telling Denise at the time, but his mental health was suffering, and then told himself he hadn’t had an affair because he hadn’t met the woman.
Cheating claims: Eddie said he had sent the sexual messages one night to a woman he met online after a few drinks, but denied cheating on Denise on any other occasion.
Speaking about their split, Eddie said he can understand why Denise didn’t want to work on their relationship as they had been estranged for the last year, but he said he will always love her.
Eddie said that he had not planned to talk about their split and claimed that he begged Denise not to, but said he had decided to address it after Denise spoke about the split in several interviews.

Denise has spoken about their split on several occasions and earlier this month. told the time she had to tell Betsy, her 12-year-old daughter.

Denise, who shares Betsy’s upbringing with ex-husband Lee Mead, said sharing the news with her daughter was the “worst part” of the breakup.

Getting Eddie back was not an option for TOWIE’s narrator, as she explained.
I have too much respect for myself and I just can’t live with that. I felt that, in a few selfish moments, I had screwed it up. I couldn’t imagine that I would ever feel the same way,” he admitted.
The Essex native believes she is now better equipped to deal with heartbreak and admitted that reflecting on the past has made her appreciate her career more.
A specific moment that he detailed to OK! was performing in Chicago on Broadway shortly after her split from Jamiroquai star Jay Kay.
‘My memories of that are that I was still very heartbroken. When you’re in the middle of a heartbreak, you don’t see anything but that. But now when I look back, I’m like, “Wow, that was an amazing thing to do,” he explained.
Denise has just completed The Masked Singer Live Tour, which she admitted has left her with ‘post-tour blues’.
She has also been working on her own music and is set to play various festivals in the summer.
But the one venture Denise has set her sights on above all else is landing a role in a play, and the star adds that she’s optimistic about the job ahead.
