Ed wore the red, white and black scarf, which wears the same colors as the St. Kilda Saints, apparently showing his support for the team.

The singer paired it with a simple black T-shirt, showing his elaborate tattoos, and blue jeans.

Dressed in a beige blouse and her Mushroom Records scarf, Sue talked to Ed throughout the game, sometimes walking him through the rules of Australian football while staring at the field.

The Shape Of You hitmaker also mingled with other guests in the private space, over a drink.

The day before, Ed had also attended football, that time with his wife, Cherry Seaborn, 28.

The couple arrived in Australia with their daughter Lyra Antarctica earlier this month.

It comes after Ed and his young family reportedly nearly got caught up in the NSW emergency this week, shortly before his poignant performance at Michael Gudinski’s state monument.

According to The Sydney Morning HeraldPrivate Sydney, the couple and their seven-month-old daughter were staying in the Hawkesbury region of Sydney for two weeks of mandatory quarantine when disaster struck.

The publications reported that the Ed “narrowly escaped the rising waters” in the area.

They said on Tuesday that the family was leaving the property – which even had its own lake – on the ‘last road’ outside the city that was not closed due to floodwaters.

It was also where the A-Team hitmaker wrote the song Visiting Hours – a detail he later revealed before performing at Michael Gudinski’s memorial service.

Ed gave an emotional performance at Gudinski’s memorial at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena earlier this week, revealing on stage that he was ‘very nervous’.

He sang his hit single Castle on the Hill – one of the late music mogul’s favorites – and later broke down when he performed a new song, Visiting Hours, which is about his daughter Lyra.

He also shared the stage with Kylie Minogue – whose music career was launched by Michael – to duet her songs All The Lovers and The Loco-motion.
