Ed Sheeran has shared the reason he won’t be performing at the Super Bowl halftime show.
The legendary concert, usually watched by some 100 million Americans, saw many big names in the music industry take to the stage, including Beyoncé, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, The Wknd and Rihanna.
However, despite being as tall as his fellow popstars, Ed, 32, feels people wouldn’t want to see him play in the Super Bowl because he doesn’t have the “pizza” to succeed.
speaking on Andy Cohen’s Deep & Shallow Podcast on SiriusXMEd said: “I think it would be the only way to do it if I joined somebody else.”
He added that it was more of an “American thing”, before saying: “I have no spice”. Like, all these amazing performers – I’m just not that. I won’t have any dancers on stage. I won’t have fireworks and blah blah.

Ed then joked that he could ‘wear sparkles’ to add some extra pizzazz, before confirming: ‘I think I would do it as a guest’.
Meanwhile, the publication claims that Ed’s pal Taylor Swift has also declined the offer to step onto the biggest stage in professional American football.
Taylor is said to have turned down the opportunity due to his busy schedule.
The Super Bowl Halftime Show is an annual American tradition where a performer or group of performers performs a medley of songs between the two halves of the National Football League’s (NFL) biggest game of the year.
This year, Rihanna took to the stage for the show, with fans amazed at the singer as she revealed she was expecting her second child during the thrilling performance.
It comes after Ed featured in a sweet video with Natalie Imbruglia as they sang his hit song Torn on Necker Island on Saturday.
