Ed Sheeran has delighted a terminally ill fan by wearing one of her charity bracelets while performing for thousands of fans during his current Divide tour.
Sian Reeds, who was diagnosed with a rare brain tumor in 2018, met the singer-songwriter on her 16th birthday after being invited backstage for his performance at Roundhay Park in Leeds.
The teenager, from Portsmouth, has made her own & # 39; smile & # 39; bracelets to generate money for cancer patients, and she was delighted after Sheeran asked him to wear one for his entire set.

The bracelet was visible on the wrist of the 28-year-old while performing his biggest hits in front of an audience of 150,000 fans during one of the two performances at the Leeds location in August.
Sian had prepared a bucket list after the diagnosis of diffuse intrinsic pontinegliomas (DIPG), after an appointment with the eye, and meeting Sheeran was one of her ultimate goals.
The meeting was organized after her sister Rhiannon, 19, Sheeran & # 39; s manager Stuart Camp, sent a message on Instagram and made her go backstage.

Doctors had previously suggested that Sian might be too unwell to make the concert, but she was determined to look at her idol and traveled to West Yorkshire with her parents, Rhiannon and younger sister Tesia, 14.
Sian & # 39; s mother Helen, 39, came up with the idea of selling bracelets two months ago to raise money for The Indee Rose Trust, a brain tumor charity that Sian has supported, and the family has sold around 6,000 since then. and raised around £ 9,000.
The rubber bracelets with the words "Smile – DIPG Warrior" are available in different colors, including purple, Sian's favorite.

Speaking of the concert, her father Matthew, also 39, said: & # 39; It was surreal and brilliant for Sian. We were on Ed & # 39; s VIP guest list and were backstage with his manager when Ed suddenly appeared out of nowhere.
& # 39; Ed gave my wife and I a hug and then had a chat with Sian about music and took selfies with her.
& # 39; He was very modest and asked about her bracelet and then wore it for the entire show – he didn't have to. It caused Sian to shred. She can't stop talking about it.
Sian watched the show with her family from a special seating area on a raised platform at the location.
Last year Sian was told that she had six to twelve months to live, but she has doctors impressed with her progress and the tumor is currently stable.
In January of this year, Sian underwent radiotherapy and responded well to treatment, with her aggressive tumor shrinking and stabilizing ever since.
