Ed Sheeran fans were outraged on Thursday after a major ticket issue left thousands of concertgoers stranded outside the singer’s performance at the MCG.
The British star performed at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in front of a whopping 108,000 people.
Angry attendees couldn’t access their tickets on their phones after purchasing them through Ticketek.
One fan said that “thousands” of people lined up outside the venue in a desperate attempt to get in in time for the show.
“Hey Ticketek, your system crashed AGAIN. Thousands outside the MCG, unable to access their tickets. You failed again at a major event,” they tweeted.

Meanwhile, another fan said they couldn’t access their tickets for Friday’s show and began to panic.
“Ummm this is for Ed Sheeran tomorrow night… anyone else having the same problem?” one person tweeted.
They added a screenshot showing that their tickets were “no longer active.”

According to the Ticketek website, concertgoers can only access their tickets through the Ticketek app and must be downloaded to their phone.
The site also explained that tickets for shows in Melbourne and Adelaide were ‘locked’.
A Ticketek representative told Daily Mail Australia on Friday: ‘Ticketek apologizes to the fans who were delayed entering the MCG for Ed Sheeran’s concert last night. A small number of Ticketek app users, who had valid tickets, were unable to retrieve their access barcode until the issue was resolved.
“We thank fans for their patience while Ticketek facilitated a resolution allowing all fans to be admitted before the concert.
“With a larger audience expected tonight, Ticketek encourages all fans to access the app early and download their ticket to their smartphone wallet app.”

Ed told the audience, “It’s hard to be here tonight without Shane, because this venue was very special to him.”
He then said he was dedicating his next song “to Shane and his kids.”
For the show, the English superstar posed with Brooke, 25, Jackson, 23, and Summer, before they presented him with a photo of Ed with their dad and a bottle of wine.
