Ed Sheeran responded to a five-year-old boy’s birthday party invitation with a magical nod.
Alexandra Lamoreaux, from Utah, previously led Tik Tok and explained that his five-year-old son, Ren, has an ‘obsession’ with the pop star.
The boy wanted an Ed Sheeran-themed party to celebrate his sixth birthday along with a water slide, cupcakes with the singer’s face on them, and most of all, an appearance by Ed himself.
In the clip, which reached 8.6 million views, the mother of three revealed that her son believed the international star would come to his party and give him a microphone.
But, little did they know, Ed Sheeran had planned his own special surprise to celebrate Ren’s birthday.
An Ed Sheeran superfan from Utah invited the singer to his sixth birthday party, but was speechless when he received a response.
The lucky guy received a selection of generous gifts from the international pop star, including his own guitar and a handwritten note.
Not expecting to hear from the singer, Alexandra produced creative concert ticket-style party invitations with a photograph of Ed Sheeran performing live.
Many users quickly tagged the singer in the comments section to alert him to Ren’s birthday wish.
He joked with social media users and asked if anyone knew where he could find an Ed Sheeran costume.
But then the mother went up a video showing a large bright blue package at his door with the words ‘To Ren, from Ed’ written on it.
To the surprise of the family, the lucky birthday boy had received a surprise gift sent by Ed Sheeran himself.
The video showed the boy opening the heavy gift and he was speechless.
The generous gift included a T-shirt, an autographed CD, a toy, a microphone, and a guitar.
Perhaps best of all was the singer’s handwritten note, which read: ‘Ren, I’m sorry I couldn’t make it to your birthday party, I hope it was great. Here’s a notepad, a microphone and a guitar so you can start writing songs like me.
Although Ed Sheeran was unable to attend the party, he did manage to make the boy’s birthday wish come true.
TikTok users were quick to celebrate Ren’s magical gifts and praised Ed Sheeran for his kindness.
The TikTok ended with an adorable clip of Ren singing Sheeran and Justin Bieber’s hit song ‘I Don’t Care’.
The video gained thousands of likes and Alexandra wrote in the caption: “Responding to @Jen Ren’s reaction to her birthday gift from @EdSheeran This has to be one of the best experiences of our entire lives!”
