Easy ways to make yourself look younger

Looking younger is something that everybody wants to do. The lengths that people are prepared to go to, in order to look more youthful might vary, but aside from teenagers who want desperately to look like they are in their twenties, there are very few people who don’t relish the idea of looking a few years younger. But how can you go about doing this without spending too much? What are the options? Where do you start? There are different solutions for different people, but here are a few that might work for you. 

Start where it shows

Some parts of the body age are worse than others. The old Botox solution is well known and plenty of people go to work on their faces to make them look younger. But the truth is it is not the wrinkles on the face that give things away it is the state of the neck that is the big giveaway. The reality is that if your neck has become a wattle you might want to consider a neck lift. It sounds drastic and expensive, but it really isn’t. Dress for success

Just because you are getting old does not mean that you need to dress like an old person. But you must also guard against dressing like a teenager. We are all familiar with the expression mutton dressed as lamb. You simply don’t want to be that person – the older you get the harder it is to pull off the look and you only draw attention to yourself as a sad old person trying to recapture their fleeting youth. Rather try to dress in a timelessly classic way. It might take a bit of time to get it right, but when you do you will be the envy of your mates.

Teeth

Teeth tend to age badly as they take a lot of wear and tear over the years. The yellow and chip and gums can start to recede. This is something that you can avoid quite easily by regularly visiting the dentist or dental hygienist. Simply by staying on top of your dental health, you will make a big difference to the look of your face. If you are in any doubt, take a look at old people’s teeth next time you walk around the shopping centre – without a doubt the better-maintained mouths will be on people who look younger.

Quit smoking

If you are a smoker stop smoking as soon as possible. . When it comes to aging the skin and increasing the depth of the wrinkles smoking is a terrible culprit. If you are able to quit smoking you will immediately help to bring back elasticity to the skin. Obviously, the longer you have smoked for, the worse will be the damage for your health – but it is never too late to stop. The same applies to sun damage. If you have not been a regular user if sun cream starts applying it today – it will make a huge difference and quite possibly take away the need for future surgery.
