EastEnders Sonia Fowler will be devastated in next week’s EastEnders when she discovers the shocking secret about boyfriend Reiss Colwell.
Viewers of the BBC soap have long been suspicious of Reiss and his relationship status, especially after he made a mysterious phone call to speak to his ‘wife’ earlier this month.
And in subsequent scenes, it’s another mysterious phone call that proves to be Reiss’ downfall, leaving his girlfriend Sonia crushed.
The drama begins when Sonia (Natalie Cassidy) wakes up on her birthday to treats from Reiss (Jonny Freeman), but becomes confused when he doesn’t appear in person.
While at the cafe, a concerned Rocky Cotton (Brian Conley) tells partner Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth) that he overheard Reiss on the phone with a mysterious person.

The nurse is then shattered when Reiss finally admits the shocking truth about what he has been hiding.

Later, an utterly devastated Sonia breaks down in tears when her ex Martin Fowler comforts her after Reiss’s confession.
Meanwhile, after being kicked out of his house, Reiss has been sleeping in the car all night and is desperate to explain himself to Sonia.
