EastEnders fans think they’ve come up with the weapon that will be used by the killer on Christmas Day.
Earlier this year, the soap revealed in a special flash-forward episode that someone from Albert Square will be murdered this holiday season.
On Thursday’s show, Linda’s mum Elaine arrived in Albert Square and took over the Queen Vic, with viewers saying the recast is ‘exactly what the soap needs’.
And after a confrontation with Nish Panesar, Elaine and Linda went to bed only to find their pub had been raided and vandalized.
Before the end, eagle-eyed fans noticed that a glass flamingo ornament on the bar was not smashed.

Dead: Earlier this year, the soap revealed in a special flash-forward episode that someone from Albert Square will be killed this holiday season
The flamingo was originally bought by Nish as a gift for Linda when he tried to buy the Queen Vic.
Now viewers think the close-up of the ornament is a telltale sign that it will be used as part of the explosive Christmas Day storyline.
On Twitter, viewers shared their theories that the flamingo is important and will become the murder weapon.
“That flamingo monument is going to be Chekhov’s gun for the Christmas Day episode, right?” one wrote.
“I have a feeling the flamingo will eventually become important,” another viewer wrote.
A third said: ‘Isn’t that Flamingo going to be the murder weapon?’, while a fourth viewer added: ‘Last minutes Eastenders again. I assume the flamingo figurine is referring to something, but out of context it’s just… there. ‘
Linda’s mom has taken over the Queen Vic, and viewers took to Twitter to salute Elaine’s recast after Harriet Thorpe took over the role of Maria Friedman.
On the show, Elaine told Nish, “I’m Elaine. Linda’s mother and the new co-owner of The Vic. I’m going to keep it short because unlike you I have a pub to run. I know men like you, men who like a cheap suit, but tell you something like me that you don’t fool me.’

Got it fixed: EastEnders fans are convinced they know who killed a man this Christmas and it’s none of the six women the BBC producers have teased

Patiently waiting: More information will be revealed in the coming months ahead of the Christmas Day episode when everything will be revealed about who the killer is and who is dead
After Nish dug into Linda’s battle with alcoholism, Elaine banned him from her pub.
Fans think that the fact that the flamingo was not destroyed was a symbolic act by Nish.
One of them wrote, “The flamingo was the only thing that didn’t get smashed, which makes you think it’s either Nish or Vinny who destroyed everything but their present.”
Another viewer added, “She got it from Nish. It’s a sign of him, as it says between the shards of glass.’
In a special flashforward episodea man lay dead on the floor surrounded by six women – Denise (Diane Parish), Kathy (Gillian Taylforth), Linda (Kellie Bright), Sharon (Letitia Dean), Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Suki (Balvinder Sopal).
As the women stood over the body, Sharon confirmed he was definitely dead.
Viewers currently have no idea if it was murder or an accident, but some clues from the scene have revealed possible theories.
More information will be revealed in the coming months ahead of the Christmas Day episode, when all will be revealed about who the killer is and who is dead.
Beforehand, however, BBC fans think they’ve already figured out who the real killer is and it’s not one of the women.
One fan wrote on Twitter: ‘#Eastenders I think there will be a secret 7th on Christmas Day, I thought it could have been Eve or Shirley but now I’m starting to think it could be Karen.
“When Sharon looks up and says he’s dead, she looks at Karen. At this point I think Karen hits Nish and kills him.”
Another added, “Suki and Karen have to work together to take down Nish. Karen herself has been abused and knows that Chantelle was abused too.
“Suki is currently between a rock and a hard place with Nish and needs people by her side to take him down including Eve Karen Stacey etc. #EastEnders.”
Previously EastEnders boss Chris Clenshaw has teased to ‘expect the unexpected’ with the Christmas scenes.
He said, ‘I’ve already given you a Christmas scene; I can’t give you anything more I’m afraid! But what I’m saying is… expect the unexpected.
“I’m not going to give anything away that the episode hasn’t already given, but what I’m saying is that there were clues in there.
‘Did you take a good look? I urge everyone to rewatch the scene and look at every detail. There are also a few treats in the scene if you look hard enough.
“What I’m also saying is that a lot can happen in Walford between February and December.”
