Sheffield United fans were seen leaving Bramall Lane within the first 15 minutes after Arsenal’s spectacular start to their Premier League clash.

The Gunners took a four-goal lead against the Blades half an hour later thanks to goals from Martin Odegaard, Kai Havertz, Gabriel Martinelli and an own goal from Jayden Bogle.

As they did so, large sections of the home fans were caught on camera heading towards the exits of the stadium.

The Gunners took the lead within five minutes when Odegaard completed a well-worked move before Martinelli doubled their lead soon after.

Then, when Jayden Bogle inadvertently directed the ball into his own goal, that’s when some fans decided to cut the evening short and head for the exit.

And it didn’t take long for social media users to weigh in on the Blades’ performance, with some offering some pretty brutal takes.

“Sheffield United are definitely one of the worst teams the PL has seen in a long time,” one fan wrote.

Another said: “Sheffield United are the most useless Premier League team in a long time, at least Luton are struggling a bit against the top teams.”

“Sheffield United would have preferred to stay in the dressing room. They are absolutely woeful and their left-back should perhaps consider retiring.

“This could really be double figures if Arsenal want it,” said another user.

In a long post, one fan said: “I know Derby once recorded 15 points in a full Premier League campaign but I refuse to believe there has ever been a worse top flight team than this Sheffield United.

‘I really feel for them; They are so out of reach it’s embarrassing.

Another referenced fans leaving early, writing: “Fans leaving in 15 minutes has to be a new record lol.”
