Eamonn Holmes was absent from GB News’ schedule on Monday due to a staff shake-up at the show, with the star replaced by a familiar face.
The 64-year-old presenter usually hosts the show alongside Isabel Webster, 41, from Monday to Wednesday, however was notably absent from the latest programme.
Instead, viewers who tuned in to watch the former This Morning presenter were greeted by GB News regular Nana Akua, who presented alongside Isabel.
No explanation was given for Eamonn’s absence, with stand-in presenter Nana, 53 (who made her debut on the show in 2021) and Isabel launching straight into the day’s news, which included Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s falling out of support for US Vice President Kamala Harris.
Eamonn’s replacement comes after he was involved in a fierce confrontation with a guest in which he angrily shouted “Don’t lecture me, give me a break!” during a debate about the Union Jack flag on Tuesday.

Royal broadcaster and historian Rafe Heydel-Mankoo joined the show alongside anti-racism campaigner Imarn Ayton to debate whether the Union Jack flag is too divisive.
The debate began when Eamonn commented on the recent news that a Norfolk town is divided over whether to fly the Union Jack, fearing it would “scare people”.
The debate erupted after Imarn said the British people should reconsider using the Union Jack flag because, she said, it has “associations with the far right.”
When Eamonn stopped their heated and controversial discussion, he ended the segment with his personal opinion after growing up in Northern Ireland, prompting Imarn to respond furiously.
Eamonn said: ‘When you put a flag outside a village hall in Norfolk, you sort of ask yourself: what’s the problem?’
Imarn angrily replied: “Be considerate. No, be considerate, lads. I know you’ve already finished your segment, but Eamonn, I’m not going to let you finish that one.”
‘Be mindful of others’ beliefs and opinions. If you are considerate and understanding of everyone and how we perceive the world, you may find yourself leading with equality. Just so you know, I’ll end here.’
Eamonn said: “Let me tell you something. You don’t have to lecture me. I sit in the middle, trying to see both sides of things…” to which Imarn chimed in: “Well, I have to do that too.”

Eamonn shouted: “I grew up in a country…”, before Imarn interrupted again: “You should have finished with mine (opinion), but you finished with Rafe’s (opinion).”
Presenter Eamonn said: “I’m done with everyone. I’m trying to say that you didn’t grow up in Northern Ireland where a flag represented something political and against a certain religion in Northern Ireland, I did.”
Imarn said: “And just like with black people, you’re not black sir, and I understand racism more than you do. I haven’t experienced racial discrimination or prejudice or bias in regards to being white, but what I have experienced is being black. Ahh Eamonn, we’re the same, babes.”

The presenter, who recently split from wife Ruth Langsford, and Ellie were discussing people walking around topless during Britain’s latest heatwave.
Eamonn, very excited, said mischievously to Ellie: “You’ve never seen my tits. I have one bigger than the other.”
Ellie laughed and Eamonn joked: “It’s true! Don’t you have anything bigger than the other one?”
Meanwhile, Eamonn recently shocked his GB News co-presenter Ellie Costello by making an inappropriate comment about her breasts last week.
The presenter, who recently split from wife Ruth Langsford, and Ellie were discussing people walking around topless during Britain’s latest heatwave.
Ellie seemed puzzled by the question and replied, “No, I have that too. I think it’s pretty normal, so we can understand it.”
To try and get the conversation back on topic, Ellie went on to say: “But I don’t think it’s nice to see topless men, especially on the street during a heatwave.”
Eamonn’s love life has been in the news recently as the ex-husband of his new girlfriend Katie Alexander has broken his silence on his ex-wife’s new relationship.

George Alexander, who split from Katie before she started dating the GB News presenter, said he had “a lot of sympathy” for Ruth Langsford.
In May, Eamonn and Ruth, both 64, announced plans to divorce after 14 years of marriage and it later emerged he was dating the blonde relationship therapist, 42.
Talking with The sun George, who was married to Katie from 2010 to 2022, said: “I have a lot of sympathy for Ruth.”
“I was heartbroken when my marriage to Katie ended.”
He added: “It took me a couple of years to recover. I know how distressed Ruth must feel. She is going through the same thing I went through after our marriage ended.”
George also insisted that his ex-wife “had a heart” so she would certainly take Ruth’s feelings into consideration.
