A Philadelphia Eagles fan has been arrested for allegedly shooting and murdering a New York Giants fan during a football brawl while queuing for cheesesteaks at City of Brotherly Love’s iconic Pat’s King of Steaks eatery.

The deadly incident took place just before 1 a.m. on East Passyunk Avenue Thursday, where police arrived after reports of a shooting.

Witnesses told investigators that two customers standing outside the world-famous cheesesteak emporium had some words, but their verbal altercation soon turned physical.

One of the fighters grabbed the other, a red-haired man in an Eagles jersey, who then pulled out a gun and shot his opponent before fleeing in a van, according to NBC10.

Tom Francano, Pat’s longtime general manager, told the… Philadelphia Inquirer that the argument that led to the shooting was partly about football.

The victim, described only as a 23-year-old man, was taken to Jefferson Hospital, where he died of a single gunshot wound to the torso. Fox 29.

Witnesses gave police the license plate number of a van driven by a woman who took the shooter away from the crime scene, which police say helped locate the suspect.

The alleged gunman surrendered to police and was taken into custody at two of Philadelphia’s most famous landmarks, Independence Hall and Liberty Bell in the Old City.

He was not identified on Thursday afternoon and no charges have been released so far

Police are still looking for the female driver of the getaway car.

Pat’s was closed for about four hours while police investigated, but later resumed normal operations.
