EA has delisted all of the above fifa games from major stores including Epic Games, Steam, Switch, Xbox and PS5. Titles, up to and including FIFA 23, are no longer available for purchase. The measure, which was first detected by analyst MauroNLarrives just two days before the next EA Sports FC 24 is ready to launch.

FC 24 It will be the first version of EA’s annual soccer video game that lacks FIFA. brand. Soccer fans got their first look at the game during a live-streamed event earlier this summer. The game debuted in early access on September 22 and is scheduled for a wider release on September 29.

EA officially parted ways with FIFA last year after CEO Andrew Wilson indicated he was dissatisfied with the partnership in a leaked internal meeting. “Basically what we get from FIFA in a year without a World Cup is the four letters on the front of the box,” Wilson said at the time. The federation had asked EA to pay one billion dollars for the exclusive rights to its brand, according to rumors.

FIFA, for its part, seems to have no intention of abandoning the video game space. Released a mobile game called AI League in April of this year in collaboration with the Altered State Machine studio. The title is supposedly part of a next “portfolio of new Web 3.0 games focused on the future” linked to the federation. Then there’s that too.
