Three-time premiership winner Dustin Martin is rarely seen enjoying himself in public but recently made an exception for his partner, former Collingwood star Dane Swan.

The superstar was photographed with friends enjoying the UFC over the weekend, and was caught trying to hide his beer under the table.

The photo Swan posted on Instagram was also liked by St Kilda star Brad Hill, former Richmond premiership winner Jack Riewoldt and Brooke Warne, daughter of cricket great Shane Warne.

While Martin’s peers, including the likes of Swan, Harlan Camilleri, the son of Australian music icon Joe Camilleri, and hospitality mogul Steven Hiles, were happy to pose for a photo with beers in hand, Dusty tried to Hide yours under the table.

Unfortunately for him, eagle-eyed fans noticed the fresh beer rings on the table in front of him and the concert was over.

“Haha Dusty has 3 new beer glass rings in front of him,” one follower commented.

“And a pint in his hands under the table, good for him,” added another.

“Dusty trying to be sneaky, we see him king, enjoy,” another posted.

Others asked why he was trying to hide the beer.

‘Why are you even trying to keep it under the table?’ one asked.

“It’s a sad situation that a young man can’t go out for drinks with his friends,” lamented another.

‘Looks like someone is having the week off. It’s a shame for us Adelaide fans. Enjoy the well-deserved celebrations,’ another fan posted.

It comes amid speculation Martin will retire at the end of the season or, as football great Brendan Fevola predicted, leave the Tigers to join coach Damien Hardwick on the Gold Coast.

Martin appears to be rested for Richmond’s trip to Adelaide Oval on Thursday night to face the Crows in order to reach a major milestone at the club’s home ground.

Martin is just one game away from becoming the seventh Richmond player to reach 300 games.

Norm Smith’s triple medalist will almost certainly raise the mark next week in the G against Hawthorn.

“It’s not going to be around that (the milestone), it’s going to be because we’re going into a five-day break,” Tigers coach Adam Yze said.

“We will probably have three or four players in that category depending on their age and workload, which could be a high risk to play in Adelaide no matter what.”

‘It’s about performance.

‘He’ll want to play, but if that means it’s too high a risk because of the five-day break and the travel; We will make that decision later this week.”
