A new reality TV show is on the horizon that promises to be out of this world.
Space 11, a new production company, is launching ‘Galactic Combat’ that will prepare 40 mixed martial arts fighters from around the world for one final match in a zero-gravity arena – outer space.
The series will follow fighters through a 12-month competition to be the first to compete in a new sport called ‘MMA-Zero G.’
All hunters will undergo training and learn how to do non-gravity cage fights with programs and conditioning mirroring programs used in astronaut training.
The last two remaining will go into space for the final event aboard a modified retrofit rocket as it orbits Earth for 90 minutes.

Wednesday’s announcement was shared by Space 11 founder Andrea Iervolino, who aims to produce movies, TV shows and live events outside of Earth’s atmosphere.
“The sheer spectacle of combat in a zero-gravity environment provides a ‘can’t-miss’ viewing experience that will truly be groundbreaking, and represents what Space 11 is designed to deliver to an audience eager to push boundaries,” said Iervolino.
A format that requires the most unique training and delivers the most exciting new sports competition will serve fans well.
And of course we are fully committed to the tested technologies and scientific data that we know will provide the safest experience throughout the process.

Galactic Combat, which is still in production, will air in 12 episodes in 2023. Fast Company reports.
‘When people try to hit you without gravity – I don’t know if you’ve seen the video of a baby pushing a person [in zero gravity] and the person goes across the room, ”Iervolino said.
‘It’s a completely different way to hit someone. It’s a completely different kind of training. ‘
The Space 11 team is made up of a number of space enthusiasts, including ex-SpaceX employees, astrophysicists and astronomers.
Many production companies look to the stars to create an exciting reality TV show.
Another US manufacturing company, Propagate, is working on ‘Space Hero’ which will be launched aboard a rocket to the International Space Station (ISS) for a 10-day stay with the crew, as reported by Deadline in September 2020.
The number of participants and exact format have yet to be revealed, but those taking up the challenge will undergo rigorous training and grueling tests that push them mentally, physically and emotionally, Space Hero confirmed.
