Prince Harry and Meghan Markle gave a speech at an exhibition on black art and history in Los Angeles last night.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex were photographed yesterday at the Kinsey African American Art and History Collection event at SoFi Stadium.

Meghan, 42, wore a floral-embroidered wool cape from Carolina Herrera worth £4,800, while Harry, 39, wore a smart suit with a white open-collar shirt.

TV personality Shaun Robinson today posted an image on Instagram of the couple at the exhibition as they held microphones and spoke to an audience.

Ms Robinson, who supports the collection, said: “Thank you The Duke and Duchess of Sussex and @thearchewellorganization for supporting the @kinseycollection.”

In a second post showing a panel discussion, she added: “Great discussion last night supported by @thearchewellorganization and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.”

Harry and Meghan live in nearby Montecito in a £12 million mansion with their children Prince Archie, four, and Princess Lilibet, two.

It comes as Harry’s father, King Charles III, continues to undergo treatment for cancer – with Queen Camilla yesterday insisting he is “doing very well”.

And Harry’s sister-in-law, the Princess of Wales, remains out of the public eye as she continues to recover following her abdominal surgery in January.

The exhibit aims to “celebrate the achievements and contributions of Black Americans from before the formation of the United States to the present.”

Bernard and Shirley Kinsey are behind the collection, having spent five decades building one of the largest private collections of black art and objects in the world.

The items include a 1963 typewritten letter from human rights activist Malcolm X to author Alex Haley, as well as a handwritten bill of sale for an enslaved black man from 1832.
