A drunken lawyer who was filmed being dragged out of a California restaurant by police officers after abusing staff is a reality TV star and sex influencer who claims to promote a “non-toxic life”.
Shyla Smith was arrested by Visalia Police Department officers after wreaking havoc inside the Bravo Farms restaurant in the California city.
The incident was caught on camera and shared on social media by restaurant customer Kay Breann, and Smith has gone viral for his antics.
Visalia police confirmed to DailyMail.com that she was arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest following Monday’s incident. Further details about her arrest have not yet been made public.
Smith, 44, is the owner of blanket company Muslin Comfort and prides herself on Instagram as an advocate for “nontoxic living.”
Shyla Smith was arrested by Visalia Police Department officers after wreaking havoc inside the Bravo Farms restaurant in the California city.
Two police officers arrived at the scene and approached Smith, who was then arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest.
But there was little evidence of that philosophy during his ridiculous behavior at a California restaurant.
In the video, which was first shared on TikTok, Smith can be heard telling fellow restaurant employee Kay Breann that she was a lawyer.
According to her LinkedIn page, she attended Ventura College of Law before working for Farmers Insurance as a trial attorney.
In 2018, she founded her own company specializing in an all-natural, breathable bed comforter, which she called Muslin Comfort.
He frequently appears on television shows to promote his business and, according to public records, has had seven other run-ins with the law, some of which involve traffic incidents.
During Monday’s confrontation, Smith can be heard repeatedly saying she is a lawyer for Breann, who defiantly confronts her.
Breann tells him: ‘You won’t bully anyone because of me. You won’t. You better act properly.
An unknown man recording the video can be heard adding: “Shame on your firm, if you’re a lawyer.”
Smith replies, “Shame on everything you do,” prompting the man to look up and down at his outfit and hilariously say, “We can do it, with those shoes.”
Two police officers can then be seen arriving at the scene, who immediately approach Smith.
Smith was caught on camera arguing with another customer, Kay Breann, right, after allegedly abusing staff.
The incident occurred inside a Bravo Farms restaurant in Visalia, California, shown here.
According to her LinkedIn page, she attended Ventura College of Law before working for Farmers Insurance as a trial attorney.
Breann tells him “you need to go” before walking away. Smith continues his tirade, telling the officers, “This is inappropriate, this customer service is inappropriate.”
The man continues to record and offer commentary, saying: “Your moron is going to jail, you fucking psychopath. Shame on you. Trash, trash, trash.”
In a follow-up video, Breann adds that the woman was arrested by officers inside the restaurant to the delight of other customers.
In her video, she offered some background, stating that the woman had been drinking at the restaurant’s bar and had been asked to leave after staff interrupted her.
Breann added: ‘She started taking it out on staff and customers. She was checking people out, filing herself down and claiming (the restaurant) was dirty.
‘(Claiming) that she is a lawyer, she is going to close the place, being a nuisance and a bother.
In 2018, she founded her own company specializing in an all-natural, breathable bed comforter, which she called Muslin Comfort.
‘I sat at my table until things started to get worse and she started to get more and more agitated, more and more aggressive.
“And then when a staff member asked her to leave, she attempted to physically assault that person.
‘The staff was scared. You could tell they were worried. They were worried that something might happen to me, and that’s when I intervened.
“The police came, grabbed her, arrested her, and everyone in the restaurant was cheering and applauding. They were phenomenal. They took charge of the situation.”
She also added that people had been messaging her about Smith, saying he had previously done something similar at other establishments.
