In the video posted by Reed, a police officer is seen at the side of the car as it begins to flee the scene, driving away several cruisers.
The unidentified driver then slams directly into the outdoor dining area of a restaurant below where the person filming is located, nearly injuring one person.
That car keeps driving down the sidewalk, trolling the food space and sending restaurant belongings into the air.
The Cadillac then travels back into the street before veering into the other sidewalk, nearly hitting the parking meter and crashing directly into the street sign.
The banner is pulled completely from the ground and bounced back as frightened pedestrians run across the nearby footpath to avoid being hit.
While crossing the intersection, the driver trips over a fallen sign, causing the car to stop briefly in the middle of the busy street.
The driver then drives off the scene as the video ends with the person shooting back to the police officers calling for backup.
Reid’s video has been viewed just under 10,000 times and has been retweeted and quoted on Twitter by dozens of accounts to express their disbelief and outrage.
