A quick-thinking motorist rescues a three-year-old boy after walking down the middle of a dimly lit suburban street to oncoming traffic.
Terrifying dashcam footage showed a toddler named Nathan rushing to the moving vehicle in Panania, south west Sydney, Saturday night.
The little boy, who glowed through the car’s headlights, waved his arms up and down as the car approached.
The motorist saw Nathan just in the nick of time and came to a stop, just like the vehicle traveling in the opposite direction.

The driver jumped out of his car and picked up the three-year-old who had escaped from the family home.
I stopped to save him. It’s very dark in here, ”the man said Nine news.
The man returned Nathan to his family about ten minutes later.
Nathan’s brother Michael said the family was distracted when the little boy took his nighttime walk.
“While my stepmother was busy, my little brother, Nathan, walked out the door and walked into the street,” he said.
Michael said the family is incredibly grateful for the driver’s efforts.
