Drew Barrymore’s alleged stalker will appear in Southampton Court today after he was arrested for ‘door to door knocking’ in his New York neighborhood in an attempt to find his home.
Just two days after canceling his appearance at a special event on Monday night in New York, Chad Michael Busto was arrested outside his $6 million Long Island farmhouse.
Law enforcement confirmed TMZ that he “climbed some steps outside” the mother-of-two’s estate on Wednesday.
Luckily, Barrymore wasn’t home at the time.
A source close to Drew told DailyMail.com that the ET actress was in good spirits and didn’t want to change her way of life after the scary incident.

“Drew feels good, safe, and even for the moment it happened so quickly that she was fine and didn’t stress about it. She moved on from the incident because she knows that people were there to protect her,” the source said.
“The only thing she didn’t want was for the incident to be the thing we remembered from the night, so she forgot about it as soon as it was over, and she continued to talk to Renee and brought his attention back to the conversation, which was what was important to Drew.
“She’s not going to change the way she leads her life and protects herself, all of those things are and have been fixed for her throughout her life, and she doesn’t want anyone to worry about her well-being. ”
According to Santa Monica Daily PressBusto has “a long criminal history, including an arrest in Santa Monica.”
The incident comes after Busto attempted to take the stage during a panel with actor and singer Reneé Rapp earlier this week.
Approaching the stage, Busto shouted, “Drew Barrymore!
In a TikTok Video Capturing the moment, the star replied, “Oh my god, yes? Hi!’ when he introduced himself as “Chad Michael Busto”.
‘You know who I am. I need to see you sometime while you’re in New York, he said.
Rapp quickly got between Barrymore and the man and walked with her offstage, while Barrymore wrapped an arm around her.
Two security guards approached the man and escorted him off the stage.
Barrymore and Rapp then returned to the stage where they joked about the chilling encounter.
Rapp said: “By the way, just to be clear, the second they were like, ‘Okay, it’s fine.’ They’re like, ‘Do you need anything, do you need us to stay? (Barrymore) was like oh no, I got it, I’m fine!’
Barrymore said, “Well, I have a new definition of your sexy side, it’s that level of protection. It’s become a complete bodyguard! You’re my Kevin Costner!”

The actress recently revealed that she keeps the family computer screens locked away in a safe to limit the time her daughters spend there.
